Random Thoughts IX (The first 8 were probably better)

My boy's name is Owen. I told my wife it had nothing to do with Star Wars, but if he meets a nice girl named Beru and they go off to start a farm together, I won't be surprised.

I almost got my first born son named Luke, but Caleb fits him now I think.

His grandma made him the hat from a pattern she found online. If you really want one I could see if she'll make one, for a reasonable price. She said it was really hard compared to her usual knitted hats. Lots of extra stuff and different needles.

I was thinking it might be home made. It looked like a lot of work was involved. I'll pass on the offer though. Better to let Owen rock the original.

I'm gonna get flamed for this, but I've never been a huge Jimi fan. I don't dislike his stuff (I really like Red Door actually), but I have no problem skipping over most of his songs.

That being said, seeing him live would have been incredible.

Love learnin' stuff. Already today I l

That's cool, it's not like you are confessing to liking Justin Bieber or something.

I love Jimi. It helps that I share initials and a middle name with him though.

I will admit that there are some Jimi songs that don't do it for me. But the ones that do, are phenomenal. Just thinking about the sounds he made on the guitar that most people had never heard before is just mind boggling.

I have to think that if I had grown up during his heyday, I'd probably be a huge fan. I've even said that if given the chance to see any musician live, I'd pick him.

Unfortunately, I didn't get much exposure to him growing up. I really just heard the 3 or 4 songs that graced the radio. For some reason, I never developed that appreciation for him.

Has anyone ever watched Hollywood Game Night with Jane Lynch as the host? It's a little campy at times, but it's usually good for a laugh.

So I'm putting together my own version of the "Four Letter Words" game from Hollywood Game Night for my family Christmas. It's a ton of work (making the letters, clues and blindfolds), but I'm hoping it's worth it.

This is about as craft-y as I get.

I can give you my "Name That Christmas Carol" game to use if you want.
Examples:
Celebrate a Prickly, Tickly Yuletide
Oh! Sir Galahad Has Been Lanced-a-lot
Above the Attic On The Shingled Surface

Some of these are beyond the normal Christmas carols & hymns. I'll give you the answers in a couple of days. :)

THINK YOU KNOW YOUR CHRISTMAS MUSIC???

All of the songs are listed in alphabetical order by their real titles, excluding the words “and” and “the”. Also, any songs beginning with the word “Oh” or “O” are spelled “O” for consistency. There are traditional carols and hymns, modern seasonal songs, advent anthems, madrigals, and several from Handel’s Messiah. There are even several ringers from Benjamin Britten’s Old English carol collection (No…I couldn’t come up with a clue for Balulalow!!!) Good luck!!!! :^p~~~~~~~~~~!
