Still trying to figure out what to get MrsWx for Christmas. I had been looking at getting one of the new Keurigs with a single side and a carafe side but the goal would be to cut down on the number of K-Cups used with the carafe but it looks like Keurig has made it hard to use anything but their cups with it and don't make a My K Cup sized reusable filter so that is frustrating.

If the wife has K cups, slip on shoes would be handy.

Can use k-cups or ground coffee on the single side....lot cheaper then k-cups all the time but the flexibility to do the fancy k-cup flavors when you want them, The carafe side is standard filter brewer. Don't have any info on this other then I saw it on a list of cool Christmas presents but it seems interesting and the flexibility on the single side seems a plus.

I should go roll my garbage can back from the alley and into the garage but I don't feel like it. It's cold out and leaving it out another night will annoy my ******* neighbors who won't be able to back into my drive. I am entitled to be a dickhead once in awhile.

Will be interesting to see if they roll it out of the way. Okay, now it's a social behavior experiment! Science!

Parked at caseys last night. As I'm walking out a lady jumps out of her vehicle on the left side of mine. As we meet each other I turn and see she has barely left enough room to avoid hitting mirrors. I give a WTH. She just walks in the store. I have to walk around my vehicle because she is angled in a smidge and I can't fit between the front ends. I can barely squeeze in the door. Make sure her vehicle gets dinged a couple times. I noticed as I backed up she left a load of room for her to get out.

Looked at that one too. Ultimately decided on the Keurig one due to a space constraint. Target also had it an extra 10% off yesterday so it ended up being 15% off, got $25 worth of gift cards for buying it and Ebates gave another 1% cash back.

We have gotten to the point where we just buy ourselves what we want for Christmas. Hubby used to be a really good gift giver, but now it is easier to get exactly what I want/need.

In an effort to blend in with the co-eds here, I finally pulled the trigger on a North Face fleece. On sale plus extra 15% off plus 5% Ebates. :) Now I just need to wear black leggings 24/7 and I will look just like a college girl. Totally.

Lulu Roe is your next step I think.

I would be all for the get ourselves something but my wife is smart enough to know that I won't buy myself anything.

Just give yourself cash, the best gift of all; and easy to return (to the bank). I'm extremely cheap and they have figured out that I get grumpy if any gift to me costs much. I usually say just get a card if you want to get anything.

I just spent an hour on the phone with Daddy. My sister is there in Phoenix, and they are moving him back to Texas (College Station) on Thursday. He actually sounded happy about it! For those of you who have no clue why I'm excited...he has increasing dementia, his wife died a year & a half ago, and he's in Phoenix while my sisters and I are in Texas, Washington & Iowa. He will be in a home five minutes away from oldest sis...filled with Aggies that are WWII & Korea vets. He'll have a private apartment for now, until he needs 24/7 supervision. He's happy to be going home to Texas, and I'm so relieved that he's not fighting the move any more.
That is good news, a big weight off your shoulders and the fact he's happy about it makes it that much better.
