it's like when we moved from our apartment to the house. "Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaa look at this! You can set the temp in the house to a specific degree! And have it turn down while we're at work!"

we're moving in to the current decade! Just wait til we discover Netflix!
And DH will completely misunderstand what Netflix and Chill is

nah, we get enough pop culture to know what that is. Haven't ever used an Uber, either. I should have used that example instead of Netflix. Though in our defense we've not much had the need for one. And it'd be expensive to get from downtown to our house.

Uber was a godsend when I was in Vegas.

Still trying to figure out what to get MrsWx for Christmas. I had been looking at getting one of the new Keurigs with a single side and a carafe side but the goal would be to cut down on the number of K-Cups used with the carafe but it looks like Keurig has made it hard to use anything but their cups with it and don't make a My K Cup sized reusable filter so that is frustrating.

So if you're content in your job, but a really good opportunity pops up and someone with another company wants to talk with you, it's still a no-brainer that you at least talk to them, right?

That company has to have opportunity past the job I interview for though. I've been contacted to interview for "great" established companies, but they stopped growing and there isn't any potential there.

It probably wouldn't be a a bad thing to at least hear them out.

If Glassdoor is correct, we're talking like a 40% pay increase here.

But, that's putting the cart WAY before the horse. That's putting the cart before the horse has even been conceived.

I just spent an hour on the phone with Daddy. My sister is there in Phoenix, and they are moving him back to Texas (College Station) on Thursday. He actually sounded happy about it! For those of you who have no clue why I'm excited...he has increasing dementia, his wife died a year & a half ago, and he's in Phoenix while my sisters and I are in Texas, Washington & Iowa. He will be in a home five minutes away from oldest sis...filled with Aggies that are WWII & Korea vets. He'll have a private apartment for now, until he needs 24/7 supervision. He's happy to be going home to Texas, and I'm so relieved that he's not fighting the move any more.
