Depends on the skill of the person doing the cutting, and the location of the cut. The bowel can herniate through a weak point in the abdominal wall...if the skin & abdominal wall were split low on the belly, and the edges were pulled apart, gravity could do the rest. However, it seemed like that cut was a little too high for what was falling out of it.

SO I assume they are going to have to work fast with this attack as you would think once Negan realizes that Daryl escaped he would be coming back to Alexandria right away.

It looked like he kind of slashed through the stomach after he stabbed him. In which case, I think the guts would fall out assuming the stomach cavity was compromised, since nothing would be there to hold them in.
I enjoyed this episode. Looking forward to seeing the communities come together and fight. I also wonder if Tara will tell Rick about that all female camp since they were so heavily armed and try to get them to fight with them.
They are definitely on the clock though. Once Negan finds out Daryl is gone, he's probably headed back to Alexandria.

Do you think Negan was thinking about all of that when he was giving his little pre-stabbing speech? How embarrassing if he says all of that, goes for the stab, and it just turns into a deep cut and he can't follow with the final zinger about how they were there all along?

Wonder what they will do to make up for lack of guns/bullets since they took Eugene .

Well yeah, but the Negan one liner wouldn't have hit home as well without them falling out like that.
Kirkman on Talking Dead says the boots from the lake & in the woods watching Father Gabriel belong to someone who will be important in the second half of the season, and the person in them will be revealed fairly soon.
I know its necessary to break everyone down, especially Rick, and show Negan's power but 8 episodes of it was overkill. We get it. I don't think its a coincidence that ratings are way down - its not really enjoyable to watch your "team" get their asses kicked week in and week out. At least last night's episode was a happy one at the end.
And yet here we are watching it like it is Cyclone football.
Been getting into this show on Netflix. Currently on season 4. Show knows its cliff hangers.
