Uniform Combo for TTU Game

still would prefer gold because we are playing the RED raiders, and I know we shouldn't base our uniforms off our opponents colors. We just haven't seen the gold uniforms yet this year, and with two games left gold would look the best for this one.
The RED raiders won't be wearing red. It's our home game. They'll most likely be wearing white. It's probably safe for us to wear red and not whip their fans into a frothy rage.
This is gonna look good but would look a lot better with a little white in the jersey. Even just in the shoulders and outlining the numbers, or the names on the back/Iowa State on the front.
Yes. Even with a white center stripe on the shoulder might've push it up a notch.
The combo looks good, I thought I would like it better.
I'd like to see white/cardinal/gold. Then I suppose the helmet would seem like an "oddball" in the package.

Well.....we got the gold right on the helmets finally.. Gold, not yellow or mustard.

I've always thought that a colored jersey over white pants requires white numbers, else it looks rather imbalanced. Compare these two, for instance...
All navy and gold on top, all white on the bottom. Weird.
To this, where the gold numbering reflects the gold pants...
I really hope we don't go C/C/W with our current set. I hate it when West Virginia does similar things with plain white pants with a "full" looking navy and gold uniform on top. It looks like they have to wear emergency practice pants for some reason.
W/C/W is okay because of the white helmet providing some of that balance and the stripes matching relatively well between the different elements, however.
Best the team has played this season; but not the best they've looked.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing some of that true gold as at least an accent to the current yellow, if we can't change the current yellow (which I don't think they will, but who knows). See attached, 'gold' trim collar, etc. CMC is going to be doing things his way now, and he might have some say in that. I'm not going to post any true gold in any uniform pics, until I know that it might be viable. I'm OK w/ using the current yellow also, but do like the gold; I think they could use both.
As far as the white jr/ high look, if you are referring to the helmets and pants, I think they are here to stay, and look great. And they will give us a lot of uniform combination options in the future that I think the fans and players will like.
