When I changed schools my senior year, I tried fitting in by participating in all their drinking games. Got to know the classmates quickly.
Back to smashing and tossing stuff into the mini-dumpster. Going a little Hulk and a little Peter Gabriel on the old cabinets. Looking at the old 6 foot long 3/4" counter top and wondering if that is too big and heavy for me wrestle into the front yard by myself.
Depends on the sponsoring group. I can't remember if my friend is Lions or Kiwanis, but they had a girl from eastern Europe who was only a sophomore. I don't mean to be vague about group or country, but in my defense, it was about 15 years ago.

I honestly only know what I dealt with in HS. I'm sure there are others that know way more than me or have seen the situation, like you have, before. It is just new to me.
On a crazy side note, there is a couple in a neighboring town of ours where the man divorced his wife and ended up marrying the FES that was housed by them. I believe they may have divorced since also, but that is messed up. I don't know many of the details, but remember being told about it and thought that was wrong. (Unless she was 18+ and smoking hot at the time......I kid, I kid).
It's not the alcohol that'll do you in. It's the roofies or the hookers and blow.
There were rumors of a couple of girls and their host "dads". The kids gossiped at the group functions, as they were scattered around central Iowa. When we had our first student, I was only 29 and my ex was 32; our boys were in K & 1st grade. In retrospect, that was a little too young to have a teenager in the mix; he didn't respect us as the "authority figures" in his life. Things went much better with the later students that we hosted.
The person that has been training me has been mostly absent as she completes end of year items. I'm a little frightened by what she will need to back train me on.
Next week I'm officially responsible for 11+ sites....
Soup sounds good.
My weekend lazy man go to lunch is the Progresso soups (like I am going to make a couple gallons of homemade soup). Fall is soup time so went to pick up some the other night and seems most of the favorites I had have been replaced with stuff that doesn't sound that appealing to me.
HC court were accompanied by their parents. Five of each gender for nominees. Just as many going to ISU next year as iowa.
