He would make a pretty awesome graduate assistant. Assuming coaching with the direction he wanted to go with his career. Him or Niang taking Johnny's corner on the sideline someday would likely sit pretty well with me.
With his high basketball IQ and charismatic personality, I could see Georges as a fantastic coach and recruiter. I'd love to see him as a future ISU head coach somewhere down the line after a successful NBA career

That must be why it says Lick Creek, KY and Oak Hill Academy. He played at Pikeville High School before Oak Hill which is miles from Lick Creek, KY. They must have just used that as his "home town" because he played his first American HS basketball there.
I don't know why, but I always insert Lindell Wigginton in for George Washington, which makes for a pretty solid highlight tape.

Nice thought, but I don't think it really matters once you get past a 2-3 hour drive from someplace.
Depends on the person. If a person absolutely hates air travel, then the distance could be a big factor in their decision. And it isn't just about the parents coming to games. There's also the trips back home that the kids would be making several times a year.
I don't think location is a huge deal to Wiggington. He has been playing prep ball and living away from Canada in Virginia since his sophomore year. He and his family already have adjusted to the travel aspect I'd assume.
Plus his top schools all around the country (ISU, Oregon, ASU, Louisville). It doesn't appear he has a desire to stay close to any one area. Just find the best relationship and system for his game.
I agree, for some people the distance is completely irrelevant. We just don't know if that is a factor or not. At the least, it could be a tie-breaker if he likes ISU and Oregon equally. Another factor would be the time zone differences. That affects the phone calls to home, and it impacts the people back home trying to watch the games on TV. Again...maybe that's important, or maybe it is totally irrelevant in his decision. But I have a hard time believing that it doesn't have any influence at all.
Both are Canadian too and I'm guessing they are both proud of it. Between Ejim, Naz, and to a lesser degree Jaime VanderBeeken and hopefully Kasongo CA has been very good to us. I'm looking forward to hearing "Oh Canada" again on senior night this year.
Are these guys even going to be able to make it into town? If you go by the news the entire city is turned into Atlantis and is under water
