Philbert suspended for tomorrow

You can kind of do the same thing with this QB situation, it doesn't take Bear Bryant to see that Lanning isn't that good and it doesn't take Albert Einstein to deduce that if Park is going to meet his potential he needs to play, even if there are growing pains because at the end of the day, wtf do we have to lose??? We've been decimated now it's time to start the healing through the silky smooth golden spiraling arm of Jacob Park. Say it with me, "Park to Lazard for the BOMB!" It's going to be awesome.

I'm not arguing that Park should or shouldn't play, I just think it's silly to want to determine that based on a poll from a radio show. I think the coaches will give Park some reps here and there against TCU rather than start him. If I'm head coach then I would say "ok, Park looked good enough to earn more PT but I'm not gonna throw him to the wolves." Get him a series here and there and see how he responds to various situations. If he does well in the next 2 or 3 games then consider starting him from that point on. Ease him into it. I'm not gonna say he should or shouldn't start based on a little bit of PT against a backup defensive squad, but I think he earned more PT based on what little we got to see of him. He showed good arm strength, accuracy, confidence and didn't hesitate to get the ball out. But Lanning has much more experience so he should start for the time being.

I think Park is having all his family and friends vote for him. But, I think this strategy is much more hideous/self serving than we can even comprehend. He is hoping that CMC sees the vote and stubbornly decides to play Lanning. Park values his health and wants to be able to walk when he is 50.

I disagree with 75% of the fan base. Their opinion has no bearing on the coaches so I also disagree with your implication that since 75% of people who voted on the KXNO poll think Park is the better QB, the coaches must be leaning the same way.
 
It will be interesting how the Park/Lanning thing turns out. Lanning has pretty much stunk it up for large portions of the first 2 games. Whomever the QB is needs to be able to complete short passes by hitting guys in stride. So far Lanning has been decent throwing the ball down field, but has missed a lot of easy shot passes. Someone needs to be able to lead the team to first downs. The 3 and out stuff is getting really old.

You almost have to think that being that big is actually not beneficial for football. I just think it would be hard to push and move shorter quicker guys.

I remember a few years ago Colorado had a player that was 6'11" and he was a project. He ended up never really playing besides putting him out there to try and block field goals. I think he actually got a few blocks too.

Well you could have saved the rest of us fans some pain over the last could years if you would have cut JP a check for a couple million dollars a couple years ago.

Interesting that for the last several years it has been that Rhoads and his OC have ruined our QBs and they have not improved from the time they arrived on campus. Last year the cry was for Lanning and now two games into his first season under CMC so many are ready to bench him in place of yet another back up QB.

Maybe Lanning was ruined by Rhoads and Park has potential because he has never experienced the Rhoads quarterback curse.

OK, so a few of you actually know what happened. Can someone who know be less vague than "being disrespectful to someone in academics?" This could be anything from showing up for class late (Campbell has a rule about being early to class) to cursing at an academic tutor.

Just guessing, but I doubt it was showing up to class late. That would be handled in other ways unless it is habitual. My guess would be a poor verbal decision, cheating or something worse.
 
Park may be the answer, it he wasn't that good last week.
