I'd stay away from Bridgewa..... ya know I just can't do it. It's too soon and it still hurts.

I keep telling myself that I'd enjoy fantasy football, but when I hear people talk about it in my office, I get bored to tears. My co-workers are like my social calendar Rotten Tomatoes. If certain people rant about something too much, I know to stay the hell away from it.
This is a father/child league so I feel obliged to join. When I quit playing I sort of missed it for one year but haven't missed it at all since.

I think I might draft players based upon who has the coolest names.

Big hummingbird turf war this morning in my garden. Hummer dogfights like the Battle of Britain. One uses the crabapple tree “as cloud cover” and buzz attacks anyone who dares come close to his/her feeder and then they tear around the crabapple twisting and turning like little Spitfires. Quite entertaining.

The alpha hummer waiting.

I'm in a fantasy football league for the first time in about 7 years. I was talking to my son about his draft and asked who he drafted in the first round. He had the 4th overall pick and I had never heard of the guy.

Our draft is tonight. There's 18 teams in the league. My goal is not to make the best picks possible but to submit each of my picks within 10 seconds.
Who the hell has an 18 team league. You're going to be drafting Ricky Stanzi by the end of that thing.

Time to head downtown for the end of the Surdyk's wine sale. I DO NOT want to be anywhere near downtown later today with the Vikings, Twins and Gophers all playing tonight. Going to be a mother of all traffic jams. Go to the bathroom and pack a lunch before you leave work kinda thing.

Just tell the Twins fans to share a cab. That should help.

Right. Thanks for the reminder. JC and I should probably consider leaving work early today.

They're all playing here tonight? I really should pay more attention to where they are playing.

Kramarczuk's for lunch? Since you had a big breakfast you might as well have a hearty lunch.

I'm pretty sure country music causes cancer. I 've never met a person with cancer that hadn't listened to country music.
I'm pretty sure breathing causes cancer. I've never met a person with cancer who had not taken breath. : )

Damn Clonee and his Pizza Ranch post. Boxster eschewed his usually healthy breakfast of fruit and cereal and opted for waffles, bacon and an egg after reading that post. Well, more brunch I guess since first breakfast was coffee with a side of coffee.
The good news is you got some protein that way!

There's actually 3 Predator movies (5 if you count AvP and its sequel). I really enjoyed the last one with Adrien Brody and the ghost of Lauren Fishburne's career.
When I saw the casting of that one I was kind of surprised by the idea of Brody as a tough guy mercenary...but he pulled it off pretty well.
