Random Thoughts VIII: The Ocho

Road the lakes and had my first up close Pokemon Go conflict.

Mile 9.3: Three girl tweeners stepped from the park lawn right onto the bike path in front of me. I was going about 15 mph on the bike. Wasn't too awfully close since I recognized the hunched over face in the screen posture and figured "They ain't even aware". They never even saw me or lifted their heads in spite of some tire and brake noise (ear buds).

Mile 10.5: Thumbed up the guy driving by in the '64 Chevelle convertible. Guy must get out a lot since this is the third time I have seen him at the lakes this summer.

Mile 13: Stopped to use restroom at bandshell. Have to step aside as a herd of teen boys hunting Pokemons drifted in front of me. One of the kids was wearing an ISU Beat Texas t-shirt. Did not bother giving him a Go Cyclones since we weren't really in the same reality at the time. :)

Whenever the 13 and 11ye old go our, the 13yr old makes sure they use appropriate "Poke--etiquette". If you are on a sidewalk, step aside (not the other way around) and a few other things I can't remember.

Anybody else watch Better Late Than Never on NBC? I watched, hoping it wouldn't suck. It was actually pretty entertaining. Henry Winkler, William Shatner, George Forman, and Terry Bradshaw. Oh, and Jeff.

Will have to see how episode 2 plays out.

Disclaimer: I'm kind of a Shatner guy. And being an old man I could kind of relate to their whole sense of adventure, old guy style.

Wondering what that cool porcelain sign is in the background. Not quite legible.

The corner store there sold Sinclair. Pretty sure it's one of these:

Which role will Mark play?
Mark was in "In the Cut" Good family movie. Lifetime Channel Porn. I think Mark will be like a dean of the Social Justice Warriors when this movie comes out......he'll have some roll with a little gray in his hair....probably some SEC regulator that tried to warn everyone. Montage of him crying with homeless people and poor indigent hungry Americanos who lost half their 401k savings in the upcoming bubble burst. I was thinking "Zuck" might work into the title, but he will survive this and won't be held as accountable as the schmucks who value his stuff. The soundtrack will be what is contemporary now......except so much is socially vacuous. They'll have to tie this economic failure into some sort of class/environmental warfare to get the songs to work. It's too easy. Easier than comic book movies.
