My niece just started at K-state last weekend. She had a boyfriend in high school that went to a different college. When I asked her how that was going to work, she told me that they were going to be part of the 5% that make it work.

I have the break-up date as October 3rd in the family pool. My brother predicted some Halloween party fallout and predicted November 2nd. My sister (her mom) said November 15th. My wife went all Price is Right and said September 1st.

On one hand, I sorta feel like a dickhead of an uncle. On the other hand, there's money and bragging rights at stake.
Based upon my recollection of people in these situations, there will be about a dozen break-up dates. You're going to need to clarify if it is the first one or the final one. Bragging rights is exactly the kind of thing that can tear a family apart.

And dollars to donuts some yutz headed northbound on Beach will stop traffic each of the next few mornings when they decide that the "No Left Turn" into Richardson Court does not apply to them. Happens every year. Every.single.year.
Called it. One yesterday, two today.
If there is at least one tomorrow I'll have hit the trifecta.
Izzat you, Bawbie???

Heard a funny on the way in this morning...funny to me, maybe to Rev & Birdy & Carvers...or you guys with kids.

Stoopid newz...Maxwell, Amy & Pam talking about a guy in China who had "accidental hemorrhoid surgery" and missed the birth of his child (long story). Anyway, they started talking about whether or not that surgery (without anesthesia) was comparable to childbirth. One of the two women said she "knew how it felt to poop out a watermelon"...the other gal said "No idea. One of mine was a search and rescue, the other was an eviction." Never heard forceps & c-sections described that way, but it made me laugh.

Typing it out, it doesn't sound as funny. Maybe you had to be there? But I've already done the work of typing it, so here it stays. :)

There is a really good thread on it somewhere on here but this is what we use

In the living room
Amazon product ASIN B00BN5Z2WM
In the bedroom
Amazon product ASIN B008KVUAGU
We are fairly close (25ish miles) from the transmitters and they both perform about the same. The bedroom one is literally just hanging behind the dresser the tv is on.

We use Sling for "Cable" for sports and everything else. Very affordable with plenty of options and the most it can get per month is $40.

Edit: If we had the ability with cable jacks in the rooms and close to where we have the TVs I would go with an outdoor more traditional antenna but we don't have that luxury.

We just got the top antenna through Dish. Watched our first Olympics on NBC last night. I told hubby now that we have that, we can cut the Dish.

I had a younger hometown boyfriend when I went off to college. I met hubby before my freshman year started with matching band practice the week before school. About a month in, we were an item. That was 23 years ago, been married 19 years. Big difference between a high school senior boy (who probably was not going to college) and a college junior with a smarty-pants/sugar daddy degree.
