Just noticed that any message I get on CF goes to my email also.

Any way to turn that off? Don't need it going both places.

It did that on the old site also at least for me. Maybe drop that question into the bug and feedback threads?

No knowing this as i do not get those emails.

edit: Ah, checked and my email here is some really old defunct one through @isualum.com

"It's Peyton, Peyton on Sunday Morning..." commercial. On every 30 minutes and sometimes more frequently. Yah, pretty much got it memorized. I don't hate it but enough is enough.

"Ah, 18...the old number"

Used to be Peyton singing everything to the tune of "Nationwide is on your side"...

Now I'm getting mass quantities of Steven Tyler "Dream On" for Walmart.

My niece just started at K-state last weekend. She had a boyfriend in high school that went to a different college. When I asked her how that was going to work, she told me that they were going to be part of the 5% that make it work.

I have the break-up date as October 3rd in the family pool. My brother predicted some Halloween party fallout and predicted November 2nd. My sister (her mom) said November 15th. My wife went all Price is Right and said September 1st.

On one hand, I sorta feel like a dickhead of an uncle. On the other hand, there's money and bragging rights at stake.
Poor dude. I spent my whole freshman and part of sophomore year with a high school girlfriend. That was dumb.

Thankfully no one really cares about the sport my daughter would want to play in college. Can anyone name the new ISU softball coach without looking?

She is going to a classroom session with her softball club on Friday and they will be talking about recruiting. They are supposed to come in with the names of 2 each of D1, 2, 3, NAIA, and JUCO schools they would be interested in. Honestly beyond ISU, I know nothing about other school's softball programs. She isn't focusing on that as her main priority, academics come first. So now before Friday we need to come up with some schools that have both softball and pre-vet/vet schools. I think she would also like to stay close to home. She is so used to living around ISU and going to events that she thinks this is a "small" school.

There is a girl at our school who is going to be a freshman who already signed her letter of intent to play golf at Baylor. Another classmate is open enrolling to Ames (instead of Gilbert) mainly for sports, although she plays AAU so I'm sure has already gotten looks.
Some Traschel lady from NDSU. What do I win?

Maybe dropping cable. What is everyone's suggestion on first place to start? Sports are heavy hitters in our house. Need local channels also.

There is a really good thread on it somewhere on here but this is what we use

In the living room
Amazon product ASIN B00BN5Z2WM
In the bedroom
Amazon product ASIN B008KVUAGU
We are fairly close (25ish miles) from the transmitters and they both perform about the same. The bedroom one is literally just hanging behind the dresser the tv is on.

We use Sling for "Cable" for sports and everything else. Very affordable with plenty of options and the most it can get per month is $40.

Edit: If we had the ability with cable jacks in the rooms and close to where we have the TVs I would go with an outdoor more traditional antenna but we don't have that luxury.
