2016 Rio Summer Olympics

If you aren't watching women's Freestyle, then you're missing out. Bulgaria and Russia just practically had a street fight out there.

Hilary Bor finished 8th in the 3000M Steeplechase. Evan Jager of the US finished second.

I could be wrong, but weren't there witnesses that pretty much verified that this happened?

She just didn't play well. It's ridiculous to suggest she had any issues with the pressure.

No it's not. Just watch her during the match, she wasn't her usual self. You can see it in her demeanor and during the breaks. I may have used a bit of hyperbole saying she fell apart, but mentally she wasn't 100% focused.

I have a hard time thinking that someone who has won gold medals in 3 straight Olympics couldn't handle pressure.

I don't. Different partner different dynamic.

I suppose it's possible she played poorly because of pressure, especially considering she hasn't fallen behind much in her Olympic, but I think it's more likely that somebody that was 26-0 in her Olympic career probably just played poorly.

I think Misty May was the one who was the most mentally tough and kept Walsh who appears be emotionally up and down focused. Ross doesn't seem to have that same effect or personality. I love Walsh and Ross, but the duo is much different. Physically they may be more imposing, Ross has a canon, but IMO the mental toughness/dynamic is a lot different. The crowd might have made a big difference too last night.

US men's volleyball team just came back from a 5 point deficit to win the second set against Poland and lead 2-0. A win here gets them into the semifinals. Taylor Sander is playing great. When he is on like this he is one of the most exciting players in the world, IMO.

USA definitely shot themselves in the foot on some serving/passing issues, but I have to give credit to Brazil. They did not let that ball drop and got a couple of crazy rallies that just gave all the momentum to their side. I could tell early in the 2nd that we weren't going to get it back. Brazil had too much determination and there was never, ever that feeling that we were in control of the match (even for a point) the way there was in our earlier games.
