Men's gymnastics focuses on strength primarily where women's is mostly about balance, agility and artistry.
Same with swimming. Those lady swimmers can only be described as "homely"....
This is an opinion after just watching team qualifications, but I think US is going to go 1 - 2 on the women's individual floor exercise, and may just sweep the medals.
**** is getting real in the pool. Definitely going to tune in for the women's 100M breaststroke final tomorrow night.
Lilly King straight calling out her Russian competition as a drug cheat! It's on Russia!
Yep, actually being a woman with boobs and hips is a terrible disadvantage for things requiring balance so they are all over the hill before they can legally drink. The men's events are more based on strength so they don't reach their best until they are actual adults.
People are saying the doping Russian Olympians are winners who simply do whatever it takes. Lots of people saying this, believe me.
I must have missed something; so far all I heard King say is that she "wanted a level playing field" when asked about the Russian swimmer being reinstated. Did she escalate it from there?
Efimova was wagging her finger after winning her semi final heat. King was watching on a TV, prior to her own heat, and was caught wagging her finger at the TV/Efimova.
King wins her heat, then wags her finger. When interviewed, she was asked about it.
"You're raising your hand #1, and you've been caught drug cheating. I'm just not a fan."
That's an understatement. Is there anyone on her level?
Probably also has something to do with comparing men to women. Look at the swimmers - the men are also ripped, whereas the women are toned. I would think women have to intentionally want to look ripped in order to get ripped, and then it affects their overall athleticism negatively.
After Yuliya Efimova won the first semi-final of the 100 breast, she wagged her finger signalling “number one” as the heat winner. Not impressed by this gesture, Lilly King, watching while preparing for the second semi, mockingly waved her finger, as if to say ‘not so fast’.
King went onto win her semi in 1:05.70, 0.02 faster than Efimova’s 1:05.72 in the first semi. When question about her gesture post race by an NBC reporter, King responded “you wave your finger number one and you’ve been caught drug cheating…I’m not a fan”.
Don't know why I didn't realize that was rock legend Chris Gaines older brother Rowdy Gaines on the call for swimming.
