Who do you want to see in the big 12?

Let's assume it's four. I'd like to see:

BYU: obvious pick, probably best for the conference, however I don't like the idea of our guys having to play 25 year olds.

Cincy: helps get Campbell back on some familiar recruiting territory.

Memphis: Fun town, nice stadium, could bring sponsors to the league.

CSU: BYU rival? Seems like a case could be made for anybody for the last slot.

Memphis and Cincinnati. Build them up and expand the footprint. If the networks will finish out the current deal with the per team compensation, bring in schools with potential. Trust that they can be built up before the next contract.

I can also see UCF and USF, but that's stretching the footprint more than I'd like. Or maybe I just want to see a northern partner for ISU

I can't say exactly which teams I want the most, but I don't want any more teams from Texas. Let's even out the geographical field a bit more!

If Nebraska and Mizzou, or any two of the four that left, want back back in I would do that. I'd be interested to know which two schools want back in according to Bill Snyder.

If I had to guess it'd be Mizzou and Colorado.

No reason Nebby should want to leave the Big 10 West, geographical fit for the most part, worst division in P5 and they get paid.

A&M probably too proud to admit they would want to come back.

Cinci is probably at the top of the list for making sense, not sure the eastern and mountain west time zone teams want to span 3 time zones but being central time, I don't really care.

All candidates are a joke so I really don't care. I'll let people smarter than me go through this garbage and pick out some gems and maybe being in a better conference will ultimately make them worthy.

Louisville
Pitt
NC State
Syracuse

Thank you. Common sense

colorado State draws around 25,000/game . Very few people in the Ft Collins/Denver area even care about CSU. Their basketball program has been decent for 2 yrs out of the last 60 yrs because of Eustachy

Good gawd do we want the Big 12 to be dumbed-down to another WAC conference? It's the fastest route to take if you want to see TEXAS and OU bolt for greener pastures

For those of you who want Texas out of the Big 12 are nuts. Be careful what you wish for.
Maybe the Big 10 can kick out Michigan and bring in Central Michigan. Helooooooo

-and I don't trust Bowlsby to do the right thing for the Big 12. his heart has never been in it

I hear the no more Texas schools argument, but Houston needs to be considered. Take OPs list but replace CSU with Houston and I think you have best (realistic) case scenario.

There is zero reason for the Big 12 to add four of these bad options when two would fit the bill. Unless there actually are major conference options on the table, we should just be picking up two schools if any. I am happy at 10.

If Snyder is right and Colorado wants back in (side note - does the Pac-12 have a GOR?), let's grab Colorado. Similarly if Mizzou wants back in, and I know that the SEC does not have a GOR, let's welcome them back too.

I would take any of the defectors back in before any of these other options. For Synder's comment, I don't think it's Aggy, since they're too proud/arrogant and seems to fit their conference the best. I've seen buyer's remorse at various levels from the fans from the other three schools, so two out of them wouldn't surprise me.

After the defectors, I agree the best option if possible is to poach ACC schools.

If poaching won't work, I thought the two best options, value-wise, on the table were BYU and UConn, with Cincy a third. I don't want the Big 12 to dip into other schools or building up other schools outside these three. I don't want a watered down conference and I don't want to elevate more schools to the table. I don't want a scenario where they go to a mythical 64 team conference and ISU is at the kids table. Big 12 would be "elevating" BYU, UConn, and Cincy, however they should be P5 schools anyway.

Notre Dame and Missouri, able to bus teams save big bucks on airfare.

UCF. Football program is vastly improved over the last couple years. Heart of Florida, great for recruiting, One of the largest public Universities.
