Time for the obvious but uppity and snooty statement. At my 9 y.o's wrestling clubs pool party. When you start with slower witted and dirty looking parents, they produce slower witted and dirtier looking kids.

Dude 5 chairs from me has a full fledged mullet. To help his cause he is also growing facial hair. My 15 yo has a thicker beard than him.

The pool party is good for some of these kids. Only bath/shower these kids will see this month.
I did end up taking a single one. For me, if I take too much head pain meds over a week or whatever, it will tend to trigger rebound headaches that are harder to get rid of. So sometimes it's better to suck it up for a mild one to ward off a nastier one.
made it home and DH has lawn all mowed and trimmed. Such good husband.
yeah, the games were odd. Two very short ones (but with long breaks in between) and nothing done to announce a 'winner' and neither were like, fun or interesting ones about the couple or bride. Just fill in the blank thing (but not like mad libs or something funny) and a matching one. Very odd.
Cupcakes were good though. Finding out that the 3pm August afternoon wedding is in a church with no A/C followed by tent reception with no A/C or fans was not good.

I don't know if anything can atone for it being on a Sunday afternoon. I should inquire about food and drink.
Some very large woman just showed up with a two piece swimsuit showing midriff. Don't think it's supposed to show it, actually wish it didn't
well I just thought like you'd rather use our shower than the swimming pool. Which made no sense.
Like I said, cupcakes were good and no midriff baring people that I noticed so maybe you would have enjoyed it more.
Will make my youngest play basketball. I won't be able to handle hanging with these parents. Large lady has all her kids wearing lifevests, one is third grade and in a zero depth pool where no water is over his waist.
Oh one more thing I remembered from the SILs BDay party yesterday. Her husbands parents apparently have a plot or two at a local community garden. Well they were complaining about how their corn was blown over and how sad it was. I thought "well at least it isn't like your livelihood or anything."
Have a friend who is one of the bigger sweet corn people in Iowa. Saw a field of his about flat. Would probably be ready in a couple weeks.
