Seems calmer now, just rainy and thunder. Wind was pretty strong there for a few minutes

Some light damage around here with six inch diameter branches down along with lawmakers furniture blown around.

And why I decided to not drive I to that mess and stay put here in wisc. Checked news and 112,000 customers w/o power in metro.
We were one of the households for about 2 hours yesterday without power. Luckily, there wasn't much wind where we are. Plenty of lightning though. Two houses in our city were hit by lightning. The volunteer firefighter neighbor had a long night.

Anything interesting happen since Friday around here?

By the time the storms woke me up, the bow echo had already passed.

west facing bedroom windows mean I was awake when it started raining......seemed pretty loud and got a bit nervous, checked phone and then turned on tv. DH was actually still up because he is on call and asked if the storms woke me up when I walked out. No damage around us which is good.

Bow echo? What is that?

A storm system that looks like this:

Growing up I was always told to turn off and unplug electrical things (excluding freezers, fridges and such) and stay off the phone to avoid "inviting" lightening in. Looks like CG got the exact opposite advice
