what states does Yellowstone cover? mostly Wyoming? I'm not sure if they are a brucellosis-free state or not. Didn't realize bison could carry it but makes sense. And I know they still have trouble with that in MI and CA so I guess I can understand. A rescue/farm probably wouldn't want to take the chance of having to quarantine on site and risk contamination. And I think there are fairly strict regulations on transporting those animals.

So, stupid people did stupid things and got the animal killed. Nice job, stupid people.

Mostly Wyoming. It fills the NW corner and leaks a little over the borders into Montana & Idaho.

Yeah, they get it there occasionally. A good friend of mine worked on the Brucellosis studies and focused on bison for a while at the NADC here in Ames.

I like jsb again. She just made fun of a guy I was going to make fun of for the same thing. Too bad she didn't jump on the Boxster train sooner, should could be vacationing in Europe or wherever the **** is right now.

C'mon, now...boxster knows his way around CWW's well enough to know you don't jump right into extended european vacations until you have completed a full inventory of the crazy and the risks associated with extended time alone...and that takes months. She wouldn't have gone yet.

I wish they'd just hurry up with it already.

God yes please tell me this will be available to watch. I will pay money for that.

oh I'm sure it will be. Sigh.

though at the risk of both jinxing myself and sounding braggy, I think I've become quite a good public speaker - at least on my area of work. Got good remarks on my last one. Usually just have to remember to slow down now and then. So if I had just been asked to step into their meeting quick and talk, it'd be fine. It's the whole being on video and having to listen/watch back and hear my voice/see myself that is what I would prefer to skip.

Will it only be part of the tour or will I be able to access it through you work's website/YouTube page?

So I'm feeling like a bit of a jerk and need a ruling. There's a guy that I work with that is a decent guy and moderately hard worker (about an 80%-er). He's had health issues related to smoking (chain smoker) and drinking (not an alcoholic, but more than casual).

My issue comes where he has missed a lot of work this year due to doctor's appts and health problems. The doctors keep telling him to stop drinking and smoking, but he keeps on keeping on. I get that he doesn't want to give up his vices. It's his life, not mine. But I'm getting tired of covering for his *** for all of his appts and for when he doesn't feel good.

A little bit ago, he came to me and mentioned another doctor's appt for tomorrow because he "wasn't feeling right." I was irritated and replied, "Are they going to tell you anything different this time?"

I have a hard time sympathizing with someone that complains about the same issue over and over again, is diagnosed with a way to alleviate the pain, yet foregoes the advice, incurs the same pain, misses more work and then I end up covering for him and having to hear about how he hurts.

/rant

If he's got the time coming not much to do about it I suppose. If he's out of time than you could complain to HR, and have them put the pressure on him. Does your company have a wellness plan to help quit smoking and stuff like that?
