Not if you watch the trainwreck known as Fuller House.
My daughters watched the season on Netflix. I sat and watched the final episode with them. After the show, the younger one kept asking if there were going to be more episodes. She finally concluded that it wasn't fair that they didn't make more episodes of such a good show. I concluded that ten-year-old girls are weird.

Went to nieces middle school talent show last night, it was pretty good and fun. Lots of talented kids too bad their music instructor is retiring, he has done an awesome job for a lot of years.

Only time I karaoked was The Rodeo Song at the Fox Lounge in Ames, yes old college friends, FB homecoming, and alcohol were involved. Good times. :)
If you're only going to karoake once it may as well be that song. I would guess that you had the whole crowd singing along to the chorus.

I miss the Fox Lounge and I didn't even like country music in college (certain Dwight Yoakam and Garth Brooks songs excepted). I have grown to appreciate some country music but the quality of the music is so cyclical. It seems that country music is either really good or really bad at any given time and there is no in between.

Had a HS track meet last night. Coach moved everyone around. People ran weird stuff. Saw sprinters run 400s and were almost walking the last 50 meters. Had gotten used to knowing what people were doing, not last night. Most interesting run, outside the dude sprinting the first 200 of the 400 and then trying to power walk was my son had to run the 400 hurdles. He's not a jumper. Hit the first hurdle and does everything to avoid falling and leaving the lane. When the crowd "oooohhhhhs" at it it's bad. People then started counting how many hurdles he was hitting. Somehow managed to get 4th with the best time in the school this year. Just glad he ain't hurt.

Did the coach just want to give them some variety or did he just want to have some blooper footage for the awards banquet?

When someone likes a post from 2 1/2 years ago...

Sometimes when someone resurrects a thread from long ago I will start reading not realizing it is an old thread. So I have been guilty of liking some old posts.

Not sure, it was odd. I know the kids are nervous. They actually won the meet as a team, first in a few years. They are wondering if they are stuck there. I joked with the 400 kid that since they won that everyone will run the same thing from now on. He laughed and said I don't think so. There definitely could be a little more jockeying around. A few kids shined in different roles. My son came home and said he's doing hurdles one more time.

Our youngest did shuttle hurdle relay in jr high (their record was still standing as far as the last time we were down there , after about 15 years). He then went to the 110s in high school...did reasonably well but didn't exactly crush the competition. He decided at one meet (without ever practicing the event) that he could do the 400 lows. Hey, the hurdles are lower, right? Riiiiiiigggggghhhhhttt. He was dying before he hit the third curve. Funny - he never tried that again...

His team has 2 decent chances to make state. Both way different events and different runners. My sons in one and he knows he needs to step up. He's not running as fast as last year but starting to get there. They will get one runner back Friday who was injured and that should help immediately. Then, if everyone can make one more small improvement, they would qualify but would be no realistic shot at placing. He would be happy with that.

had a party last night for friend who is moving back east to continue med school. Her BF will be following shortly. They are both originally from there but were here for grad school. She actually went back after she got done with grad school two summers ago but has been visiting regularly. Now the BF is about done and he will be job hunting and then no more visits :(

Anyway, we had a girls' night back around NYE and the girl mentioned she saw a pic of a ring on his computer accidentally (he was showing her something and opened the wrong folder). They've been together since undergrad so this has been a while in coming but with the LDR thing, they didn't want to rush. So since then, every visit I've been like I wonder if this is the time.....and nope. Well she's been out here for about a month studying for boards and then planned a trip for them to take last week when she was done- with the BF not knowing the location. So last night they wanted to show us a slideshow of pics from their trip. So we are going to watch it and I notice another friend grabbing a bottle of champagne to take with. I'm immediately like why do we need champagne? What's going on here? What is this? And people are like we are just toasting to friend. I'm like I think something is up but no one else seemed to think it was odd.

So anyway, they are showing us pics of their trip (a national park, so cool pics) and then one of the pics is the girl sitting on a ledge facing away from the camera looking out at the view and the BF is holding the ring right in front of the camera. We all start gasping and cheering. They totally got engaged! The friend who grabbed the champagne had been busy pouring it and totally missed it. I was like I KNEW the champagne meant something big!

So anyway, now DH and I will likely be heading out there next year for a wedding and I need to get ahold of that pic the BF took right before proposing because I think a giant canvas print of it would make a great gift. It was just a fantastic picture. He said it took him like 30 tries to get a steady pic and the girl was like yeah I was getting annoyed with how long it was taking him to do this and she had no idea what was about to happen.

Well with your computer stalking skills getting pic should be easy. I'm guessing if it's as cool as you say it will show up on their facebook feed pretty soon. If not just take a flash drive to their house and dump the photo file on your flash drive ( you might get more interesting pictures than you were expecting though;)).

By the way what park did they go to?
