RIP Prince

He needed double hip replacement. Could've been prescription opiates if it turns out to be an OD.

I once saw a prince cover band that was headed by a white woman, while i was at a casino. Took me like 40 minutes to figure out why all the songs were familiar but sounded off. Then realized what was going on.

Prince music videos have been playing on MTV all day, and it was awesome to just watch and remember all the great songs he has cause there are so many of them. Purple Rain is on right now and it is a great movie, bad acting yes, but the music scenes are awesome to watch.

Serious question, why do artists still produce music videos? Where and who watches these?

You can watch them on YouTube.
I have no idea why they still do. Maybe to link them to their website, twitter or facebook page.

TMZ does not have to follow those laws. Which ever employees of the hospital that gave the information do. Thus the reason the sources are confidential and unnamed.

Or it didn't come from the hospital. Although the language does seem to be medical, it could have come from a number of sources. Someone from his entourage, the pilot of the plane who may have been annoyed at the emergency detour and heard details from someone on scene while BS'ing at the airport while waiting...when a celebrity is involved, people love to talk.

Sad to hear of Prince's death. Wondering if his religious faith as a Jehovah's Witness could have had some factor in his death. Rumors out that his health had been failing.

So, if an unnamed source gives you $10,000 out of the bank vault, it's not illegal then? It's an issue tht needs to be addressed if this came from the hospital.

It will be interesting to see what the Billboard charts look like next week. Was just texted the iTunes top 10 songs and all of them were Princeas of this morning. Seven of the top ten albums are him as well. Needless to say, Billboard will be drenched in Purple.

Prince's 1981 single Controversy would be cutting edge today in terms of sound and content. I've always thought it was the most ahead of its time song I could think of and to me it's his best song along with Purple Rain.

youtube and vevo are much more popular than MTV ever was, plus the exposure is worldwide.... In some cases this is a way for artists to present their art in a different way, some love this exposure still....

What annoys me most about today's pop music is it takes zero talent to do a vast majority of the songs (whip/nae nae, seriously?).

Prince was a talent like no other.

Thats really an apples to oranges comparison. One deals with a felony crime, the other deals with a reporters privilege, which the courts have found to be protected under the first amendment.

That "hands to myself" song by salena gomez is about the most vapid and talentless song I've ever heard, it was #1 last week.
