It was an innkeeper woman watching after a little girl she did not want to have around at all.
A Lamplighter (this was "The Lamplighter Picture Book) took to the girl and gave her a cat. That part was supposed to be a picture of Christian love.

The girl was feeding her secret kitty one morning, got distracted listening to the organ grinder on the street, and didn't hear the woman coming down the stairs until it was too late. The woman swept the kitty off the table with one swoosh, the kitty landed in a pot of boiling water, and the kitty died.

I don't think I like your story books....

All of her siblings were adopted today, mom had someone waiting on my decision.

00 had mentioned that Dale Jr. sandwich thing. I guess that kinda took off and now he's using it to raise money the next few weeks for Blessings in a Backpack which provides food for poor school children.

So that's neat.

00 had mentioned that Dale Jr. sandwich thing. I guess that kinda took off and now he's using it to raise money the next few weeks for Blessings in a Backpack which provides food for poor school children.

Does not change the fact that a white bread, mayonnaise, and banana sandwich is an affront to all that is natural and holy. The only way you could make that more redneck honky is if it had a side of pork rinds and a can of Billy Beer.
