I'm nowhere near chaser level problems, but it's a little disheartening to see UPS not update their tracker since Saturday on something that's supposed to be delivered tomorrow. As far as I know, my package is still in Kansas City.
You know the creepy people that want to fondle.....I mean pat you down, have little buttons where they can just make the alarm go off.
Last night a marching band made up of older people dressed in quasi-marching band uniforms was walking down the sidewalk playing music and telling people to vote tomorrow (today). It was the most Madison thing I've seen since I've been here.
Udders and horns, huh?
Which actually makes it...nope. Backpedalling away quickly.
More Madison than Porn in the Morn?Last night a marching band made up of older people dressed in quasi-marching band uniforms was walking down the sidewalk playing music and telling people to vote tomorrow (today). It was the most Madison thing I've seen since I've been here.
Who breaks their jaw on purpose?????

I guess here is the answer to my who question
Had to be realigned after I got braces because my teeth were such a mess.
They didn't need to break mine. The jaw is 3 separate pieces so with me they could just separate the lower part from the two side parts, move it into place and then put the screws in to hold it. Only had to have rubber bands instead of wires, but I also had to have a plate in my mouth to keep everything in place for the first few weeks.I didn't. Son did.
Broke my jaw just before I started first grade. Spent the first three months of school with it wired shut to heal, eating baby food by sucking it through a straw. No leftover metal in there, though. My mouth doesn't open as far as most people's though, so dental work on the back molars makes my jaw ache for a couple of days afterward.
Son had an under-developed lower jaw. It didn't grow as much as the upper, and had a distinct downward direction to it. He was physically incapable of chewing with his mouth shut (his back molars were the only teeth in his mouth that could meet) and couldn't bite anything directly from the front (he even bit sandwiches from the side of his mouth). The corrective repair "broke" his jaw on both sides, just in front of the joint. The front portion was lifted up and a pie shaped wedge of some sort of material was placed on each side, then plates & screws fastened to it and the jaw bones. The downside was that they couldn't do the surgical repair until he was mostly done growing, or risk his continued bone growth messing up the repair, so he had to wait until he was 19 to have it done.
Net result was that his face completely changed, It was nearly two inches shorter. His lips slowly got thinner also - they were very full due to stretching for so many years, and they kind of relaxed back to a more normal size. We probably should have expected the different look, but it still kind of freaked us a little. He said it was like looking at a stranger in the mirror.
Guess I was wondering if he had a similar surgery to my son's.

Yeah...now that I think about some other breeds of cow...city girl done messed up.
I've never seen horns on a female Holstein before. Yes? No?
ever notice that all the evil cows are female? The males never seem to be a problem.
we usually dehorn in dairy cattle. Too much danger to themselves and others (cows and people). Some (most?) beef breeds are naturally polled. The P gene runs at about 10% in Holsteins though we're trying to bring it in more.
