If we make it past Purdue I think we are an Elite 8 team. A Sweet 16 matchup likely means Virginia and teams that play as boring and slow as them won't handle a team like us very well. Purdue will be tough but I think we can get past them and now Virginia.

Only negative is the refs seem to favor West Virginia, MSU, Virginia, Wisconsin style teams in the NCAA's. Unless you are a super talented Blue Blood those styles are tough to get by in March.

Those other schools you mentioned make Virginia look like snails on the court. There's a difference between slow it down style of offense and Virginia.

So can anyone explain how we got a 4 seed and Baylor got a 5? Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled we got the bump but it seems they should be a little bothered by that.

We beat better teams and didn't have a bad loss. It really isn't that hard to figure out if you take away your bias against Iowa State.

Plus we have a good reputation now.

I'd say Saint Mary's should be ahead of both Monmouth and Valpo. They were regular season conference champs in a much better conference, and their only non-con loss was at a 4 seed.

If they hadn't lost to Gonzaga, they would have had 0 top 50 wins. I think Monmouth should be in over about 5 other teams.
