I agree with Hoiball92. I don't know a person or parent who've ever competed against Gilbert that can stand them. I know ISU fans who've almost switched allegiance to 'Little brother to the east' because all of the ISU coaches kids went to Gilbert (And everybody hates Gilbert!).

Last I heard, he was red-shirting. Wes is a decent player. Was a good natural athlete in high school - cross country, track, basketball, and baseball. Good ups, decent shot, good quickness and explosion. Bigger drawback to his game is mental. Wes likes him some Wes.

At DSM Hoover we hated pretty much all of the Des Moines schools, because we were terrible and football and got beat by most of them. I guess we were most competitive with North and East, so we hated them more.

We usually got even during basketball season.
