Becoming a Dad Tonight!

hopefully no2 doesn't read this for a while, but boss went in for an induction on a Friday morning (week overdue and suuuuuuuuuper uncomfy by that point) and ended up with c-section baby Sunday afternoon. When I got the email I just sat there thinking about how much godawful time there is between Friday morning and Sunday afternoon. So. Much. Time.

Mrs00 and I were super blessed...both kids were born less than 2 hours after arriving at the hospital, both during the daytime. She lost a little sleep with contractions from the oldest, but we figured we better stop at 2, our luck had to change, and with the first two going so well, it couldn't go better.

Congrats dude!

I've been in the club for a little less than a year and everyone told me it gets better at 3 months . . . and it does. All three of you finally get some sleep :twitcy:

oh I missed that water broke at 7:30 not 5:30. still down to about 18 hours then.

good week to be born.......getting a new niece or nephew tomorrow :)

We had a girl's name picked out that never got used many times over!

My younger son received the name that I had prior to birth (they expected a boy but got a third girl). He returned the favor, and his daughter has the name I had wanted to use for a girl (named after my mother). :)

My family names are mostly pretty terrible.

Still waiting. Process is moving along. Epidural placed and Mrs. No2 is much more comfortable now. Thought I may lose some fingers for a while before that, with all the hand squeezing during contractions.

The next day, my biceps hurt. Finally figured out it was from grabbing the rails & pulling up from the mattress. That was during the breaks from crushing the bones in my ex's hands. ;)

that is a pretty name. I like the classical girl names - Emma, Claire, Charlotte, Victoria, Elizabeth, Katherine, Anna

So my grandmother's given name was Weda (went by her middle name), but with her German parents, it was pronounced VEE-dah. A friend that had an ancestry.com account pulled up a 1920 census that listed my great-grandparents and their children. My grandma (age listed as "baby", probably 2.5yo) was listed as "Veda" because that's how her name was pronounced.

And now, I'm wondering if that name Hopp gave isn't "VY-dah".

I prefer old school names to all the made up stuff that is popular right now. My boys were born when Aiden, Brayden, Jayden, Kayden, etc were all the rage. I couldn't go for that.

I think there's one other Caleb in my eldest's grade and no other Grady's that I know of in his school.
