It certainly seems like there are going to be some good assistant coaches looking for work ... while their head coach bosses collect massive settlements ... hope Campbell is able to snag some really good ones.

@ToldeoZach Yes, Matt Campbell is a huge loss for Toledo but so is o-line coach Tom Manning, who is going to ISU as well. Could be best in the nation.

Good, maybe we won't miss a backside cutoff block on every short yardage situation next year.
A must for this hire, and I wouldn't doubt if it came up in the interview. One of Campbell's biggest appeal was his Oline development imo.

SIAP, with all the talk of Ayeni likely staying, don't you think that U of Toledo might target him as a HC candidate? I think UT will have strong interest in Ayeni as their next HC. Not saying Ayeni's gone, but don't count on him staying either. Sorry to rain on everyone's parade.
Looks like Manning (O line coach) would be a good one to bring with him. It seems like their OC has good credentials, but their DC was just nominated for the Broyles Award as top assistant coach. According to that Toledo Blade reporter on Twitter he has been named interim coach. He also has quotes from UT players that don't seem to want him as coach...
Toledo would be the kind of place that could lure Bob Stitt out of Montana and into FBS. Toledo is the best job in the MAC.
If you look at their previous hires, they generally draw a P5 offensive or defensive coordinator or promote from within.
Manning and Ayeni I assume were the first two guys he asked to coach with him in Ames. I assume he'll want to make sure to get some guys who have Big 12 experience. I also hope he makes sure that the OC and DC have say in assistants on each side of the ball and each position coach knows how to coach in the given scheme, which is something that CPR was criticized for with guys like Bleil.
It's also possible people who don't even know him apply for jobs here. Being friends with Urban Meyer could be beneficial.
