My supply run to the nearest trading post was a success. The oxen performed mightily and I did not have any encounters with natives or wolves. The only hiccup was a broken spoke in a wagon wheel on the way home. Luckily I was carrying a spare wheel and fixed it in a jiff. Now I am off to warm the house with the wood burning stove and hopefully survive the 50 year blizzard.

I thought that was your wagon ahead of me, I was a bit behind you in my trek to the trading post as my wife was still knitting my winter pants for me as of sun-up today. I luckily ran into 3 bears and killed them on the way, bringing warm blankets back to the cabin made of their hide sure made the Mrs. and kids happy, not sure if we would have made it without them. Well I better get going, my boys want to play chess tonight and I need to make the board and pieces with my hand tools by dark.
