They recruited him in the past but I believe not anymore. The schools involved are pretty much Arizona St, Notre Dame, Indiana, St John's and us (?).

I can't see why anyone would want to play there? They are never on national TV. Just seems odd, unless he has some really close connections there.

Out of those teams besides weather what could any of those teams offer that we couldn't

If he's been living in Canada I doubt weather is a big factor in his college choice. Maybe I'm weird but I love winter and can't imagine living somewhere that never sees any snow or really has no changes of the seasons. Kansas has similar weather as us and they are able to attract top notch talent. If we continue to have success the talent will continue to come.

His brother is a class lower in 2017 but he has said he wants to follow Thon

I wonder how Maker's case will look after one more year in the US as a prep student. He was originally going to be 2015 but something didn't work out and now he's 2016. Maybe that year will help.
