Word has it that the other Big 12 coaches(except KU) are currently meeting in a back room of a casino in Miami, OK. They are shuffling some $ around to see which 2 teams take one for the conference and help CPR retain his position. Stoops was overheard saying "We can't afford to lose him, he makes us all look so much better and it's like an extra bye week." Straight from my ex sisters old boyfriend, who picks up cig butts in the parking lot.

No because Baylor i expected to win by a basketball score. After the season concludes though I foresee a change. Even if the Clones beat KSU and WVU, and get to four wins. I believe Pres. Leath will be dead set on hiring a new head FB coach unless the Clones somehow win three more to get to five wins. I also foresee Pres. Leath looking over JP's shoulder during the whole hiring process.
I think we might win one more game, and that will be sold like gold.
I know most people don't believe we are winning any more games. But even giving us a 15% chance to win in each of these 4 games - KSU, Texas, OSU and WV means there is approximately a 50% chance we win at least one of those games.

I think its even money that both JP and PR don't come back next year if we LOSE OUT the rest of the season
You can't fire a guy for his team getting blown out by the second ranked team in the country on the road. There have been way more than enough other reasons to fire him before this. Really disappointed in the total lack of urgency by CPR and his stall. We have seen it for 1 quarter this year.
I agree. I think we get a McDermott type win at the end of a crappy season when he won at #5 Kansas State. Unlike that though, it won't even be to a ranked team, but it will be sold like gold.
Absolutely. It's kinda sad that we have to worry about him being here next year, but I do think there is a small chance.
Everything you say is true. Yet we continue to lose, even with better facilities and players. That is on the coaches and administration.
There is still no hope to win unless we are playing the bottom tier teams, and even then there is a very real chance we will lose. Feels an awful lot like the gameday experience in 1994.
Pollard is cheap because Cyclone fans are cheap. If we had a big number of donors lined up, this wouldn't be an issue.
People that complain about CPR's salary being so high better realize he generally finishes in the same spot in both W-L and pay.

On the one hand, you get what you pay for.
On the other, for someone that is allegedly so passionate about Iowa State, you would think that what he is making should not have much of a bearing on his production. At the end of the day, those two things actually have no correlation anymore when its become painfully obvious that guy flat out can't coach.
