I'm going to be the weird one here. I will buy tickets for the first time because it will be the first time I can really afford tickets. Season ticket holders are like family that you don't know. Growing up sitting next to the same people every week you build a weird kind of bond with people. You "know" Them, but really don't. I "know" a lot of fans and look forward to starting that tradition back up as an adult.

I will because I'm a cyclone fan regardless who the coach is , been a fan all my life why switch now to being just a fair weather fan like a lot of people now all of a sudden.

You know, these smug little comments make me want to puke. Blow it out your ***, cyfan4ST8. Many of us have been fans longer than you may have been alive...and some of us have to decide between spending hard-earned cash for family fun, or, as we've done in recent years, waste it on ****** football tickets under the premise things are going to get better.

When forced to decide which memories may be better, some may choose not to be ****** off after spending thousands of dollars to spend 5-7 saturdays a year in disappointment.

So you can kindly take your fair-weather ******** somewhere else. I've earned the right to be ****** and not buy tickets if I want. You invest 30+ years and $$$$ and then MAYBE we can agree.

Nice. Way to hit back against the enabler establishment.

At this point in the process, I think every ISU fan has earned the right to make a decision what they want to do without being categorized...and that includes the "enabler establishment."

I mean no disrespect to you. Why do you not want to realize the obvious? Why?

Yes, I will continue to buy season tickets and support the team, even if I'm frustrated with the 10 yard cushion defense (every game) and lack of imagination in NOT going for it on 4th and 1 from the 48 yard line (Iowa game).

You're not a "loyal son, forever true" if you don't go to the games just because you're mad there wasn't a coaching change. You're a fair-weather fan. Being an Iowa Stater is more than just cheering on the football team when they are good. Just enjoy the fall Saturdays tailgating and hanging out with friends / family.

This isn't called "being a good fan." This is called "succumbing to Stockholm Syndrome."

... I will just scalp a ticket last second because I can guarantee I can get one dirt cheap, there really isn't a bad seat in JTS, and plenty of seats will be empty. Season tix just guarantees a seat in the same place at a higher cost. Scalpers are going to find good, cheap seats the rest of CPR's tenure.

No doubt. You'll be able to sit lower deck on the 50 for face, if not cheaper.
