Recruit Lists v2.0

It isn't just about numbers, it is about who can play at a high enough level to contribute. And you agreed with my point by penciling Carter into your rotation. You also included Ernst. I hope he is more than a practice squad player.

Don't take my original sentiment as a negative. It is a really good thing if Carter can play.

I penciled the entire team into the rotation. My point is no conclusions can be made about the roster by looking at who we are still recruiting. We need guards and forwards still.

I doubt that. There are good bigs to be had. The staff is choosing to focus on guards right now. Agree to disagree.

They were targeting bigs but missed on all of them so far except Malou and Young. Staff is focusing on getting commits before the early signing period.

My understanding is all of their targets, including the three commitments were scheduled to have their official visits this weekend for Fsu v Miami
Norvell was on none of the lists of visitors for this weekend from FSU reporters and was in none of the pictures taken at the game with the commits and recruits so all signs point to him not visiting FSU this weekend.

And staff agrees with you from all accounts. They will target forwards in spring and transfer recruiting season try and get 1 more guard now.

Good, but he was supposed to. I assume if he didn't he still will unfortunately

Not by what Alex Halsted said of two days ago
@AlexHalsted: @zrheisler Tough to tell where he's leaning. Options are varying. Still a shot I think. He visits Florida State next weekend.

He was scheduled for this weekend so I'm hoping it just never happens. Or it could be that other sources misunderstood him somehow. It sure sounds like he wasn't there and subsequently Alex heard it's now next weekend.

I don't think it was ever scheduled for this weekend

Im not sure if you follow basketball but getting Malou is big and missing out on all of them not sure who was higher then malou and carter was a great pick.

When I first read the Illinois hoops blog, I interpreted it as next weekend as in the 17th. Then hines said this weekend so I assumed I must be an illiterate idiot.

Honestly, if it is for next weekend, there is no football game or anything so it's probably better for us in that aspect.

To be fair, I believe they were referring to the 2016 class. While we'll most likely move Malou around the front court, he is a SF and I wouldn't group him with our PF target's we were after or still have as targets.

It may not have but the Illinois prep guys definitely said he was visiting this weekend and it made at least one FSU recruiting update last week. No matter, seems as if he didn't.
