You're right on the Eucharist. Basically (and GTO should correct me if I'm wrong), the Catholic church teaches the idea of transubstantiation (the Eucharist and wine literally become the body and blood of ******). So because we aren't purified, we shouldn't hold the Eucharist, but instead have the priest put it directly onto our tongues. I think this stopped being widespread in the U.S. after Vatican II (a series of reforms during the 60's) but I think is still common in other parts of the world.
Yes, you are correct.

I now go to a Lutheran church. The wife is Lutheran (actually, part of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church of Malabar but since there was no church for that in Iowa, she grew up Lutheran) and we're raising my son Lutheran. Communion is quite different. Our pastor gives out huge pieces of bread and it takes my son 3-4 bites to down it. I have to stand there with him while he chews it and everyone else is already heading back to their seats.

Foggy out this morning. I could see out the window through the blinds from my bed the roof of the house across the street on the near side about 40 yards from my balcony. It was all white and I thought it had snowed.

(Sorry for all the prepositional phrases.)

Don't worry about the prepositions. With the long sentence and the straight-forward wording you sound a lot like Hemmingway. Next time, start it with, "They call me Stormchaser..."

I tried to get the dew off my car window by rolling it down. Now it won't go back up.

This should be a fun fix.

Hanging out at Toyota with all the old people. Who else can do an hour long oil change at 9am? Old people and stay at home moms. I need to get smart and take a video of my back van door acting crazy. It ALWAYS acts just fine when I bring it in. As soon as I get home it will act up again. I have zero confidence that this issue will ever get resolved which ticks me off to no end because the van was less than 2 months old when we got hit.

WDSM prefers to take videos looking out of the back van door.

Is there a river that runs from wherever Train lives to Texas? Sending photos in a jar via a great expanse of water sounds very mysterious and romantic.
