Yeah, I need to look at it better. I would guess that they would have a large part of free play or stations. I worked at the Parks N Rec Preschool when we first got married. It would also work. I just can't see a reason to do all day when she learns a lot with her grandparents too. As for the two year thing, maybe not. Depends on things. It's just that I've always heard about waiting lists, so I thought I'd look at them this year so I could maybe get on lists for next.

Basically, I am just starting to look. I need to think about the details and compare. :)

Ahh, okay...

yeah, with the waiting lists...thankfully, small town living meant we didn't have those problems we heard about with IC centers. I think they were about full, but then again, I think it was significantly less than a year before we started looking.

My 10yr old still gets worn out when school starts. We only had 2 days this week and she was beat this afternoon. Mean mom made her stay home from volleyball helping, she was NOT happy with me.

Today the bus was late getting home, when the girls got off they said they were missing a kid that was supposed to be on our bus. He was a kindergartner and the parents' oldest, so I can only imagine their freak out. I was talking to another mom who has a kindergartner who rides our bus and she said her daughter saw the boy sitting at the wrong bus table, but didn't say anything. Somehow he had gotten the wrong bus number sticker (they have the young kids wear stickers with their bus # on it for the first week or so and when there are subs). The bus he was on goes to a totally different neighborhood, but sounds like he got home.

Oh, man...sounds like Mrs. 00 this week. So he rides the same bus every day, but on the days Mrs. works, he goes to his old daycare for BASP, and on the days she doesn't, he comes home. First day, he and his best buddy didn't get off the bus at daycare because kids were in their way (we talked about sitting up front), the second day he didn't hit either of the stops near our house (don't know why). The first day, they realized it at the daycare and called in, the second day, thankfully the bus has to go down a dead end and back, Mrs. was all running after the bus with the youngest in the stroller and then waited at the corner, caught it on the way back.

A Division 1 (largest) high school football program next town over has had 9 wins in the last 13 years. 6 of those seasons they didn't win a game. 3 years ago they hired a coach who took his team (D3) to state 3 or 4 years in a row. They're paying him almost $100k a season and is not a teacher, just a coach. They are currently 0-2

so he could succeed with D3 but not D1? That makes no sense at all.

and WI's system confuses me. D1 is smallest in IL (and what my school was) so I hear people here talking about playing in D1 and I instinctively think what! Your town has 25000 people!

Hubby is not wanting our preschooler to ride the bus. Morning kids cn ride the bus to school (I have to pick her up at 11am). Preschool and K have assigned seats right in the front of the bus. We are the 2nd to last stop before they head to school, then the bus drops off at the elementary first (where Preschool is) and the teacher gets them off. I am okay with her riding, but I will drive her to start. Only catch is the youngest sleeps in, so I will have to wake her up to go 4 mornings a week. Not happy about that.

Made energy bite things for new mom friend to give to her tomorrow.

If I'm eating them now, that counts as taste testing, right?

The school I'm talking about is Beloit Memorial. 1700 kids but not a very big roster. Schools like Sun Prairie, Mad. Mem., Mad. East, Mad. West are in their conference. Coach was at Big Foot before, farm town, which produced current Dallas Cowboy Travis Frederick.

so it sounds like a location problem

are you ready for my thread? You're the only person who will know it.

Wait.....the hell is going on? Grocery store thread after grocery store thread. Where do I begin?

I just jumped on the train. IDK WTF is going on. But no one here even goes to Hy-Vee and I loved Hy-Vee in Ames. Woodman's is so much cheaper. And closer for us.

Quick rundown for those not closely following along...someone started a thread about people checking out normal grocery shopping stuff in the alcohol area checkout, which is dumb, because they're not set up to handle that stuff.

Then another dude starts another one about someone with a dog in hy-vee and he complained to the manager, etc...which, I mean, I don't really want to see a bunch of dogs in a grocery store, either (even though I love my dog), but I realize with the complexities of service animal rules and stuff...it will happen, and there's not much the store can do about it. This guy seemed to be wound a little tight, so now there's all these other threads up to make fun of all the ranting about grocery stores tonight.
