Random Thoughts IV

I could handle that job.

So I joined a flag football league through work. I thought I would look good against a bunch of engineers. It didn't go well at all...

My brother in law is an engineer at Rockwell (he works from home though, 3hrs away--used to live in CR). He was an offensive lineman recruited by ISU (the coach recruiting him left, so he followed him), played college football, and played on a semi-pro team for awhile. Definitely some athletic engineers out there. ;) Then you have the band-nerd engineers. You thought that is who you would be playing against, right? :)

Yup.

By chance would your BIL be interested in coming to CR for the next 7 Thursdays? I am sure 00 would let him sleep on his couch.

May interfere with harvest. ;) He farms now and does Rockwell work part-time. My husband did recruit him to play softball a few times when he played on a rec league here in town. Now kids' sports have taken over and no time for fun for him.

It was worth a shot.

They guy on our team that got a concussion last night came to work. I probably would have used sick time after a knock like he took.

I had a dentist appt yesterday at 2. I was done at 2:30. I debated going back to work for a couple hours. I went to the bar by my house, had a beer and watched a few innings of baseball instead.

I regret nothing.

Ha, got this email from Map My Ride and reminded me of the posts C4M has done about her BIL and his braggin' workout Facebook posts. Ooooh, PR for going up the hill at Harriet coupled with maybe my slowest times on other segments of this same ride. Good grief, a PR for a .2 mile segment of a 20 mile ride is something I am supposed to be pumped up about? Hey, C4M, should i post this to Facebook!!!!
Although it was interesing to see that this short segment of trail has been logged 28,000 times by Twin Cities runner/bikers using MMR.
