I've been watching mama groundhog chomping on acorns in the drive. Baby groundhog was weeding my garden right in front of the window. It ate weeds & walked right past the lilies & hostas...

Ah, the post-apocalyptic world where the women all still have time to do their hair and shave their legs and underarms while the guys all sport the grubby hairy woodman look.
So, I didn't update everyone on my 'eventful' evening last night. My buddy that lives around the corner asked if I could help him put a trailer hitch on his van (they have a popup and are going camping labor day weekend). He came over, had the hitch in the back of the van, so the door wouldn't close. He went to back into my garage, and I was watching, wondering if it would clear the garage door...looked like it would, but...it didn't. Caught the wiper arm that sticks thru the window, shattered his back window, bent up my garage door.
So, we cleaned that up, thought 'well, at least we can get the hitch done'. Nope...the hitch uses 3 weld-nuts that are existing on the van on each side...but because it's a used van, they were all dirty/rusty/painted, and of course I have a tap set, so we could chase the threads to clean them up...but my tap set doesn't have METRIC FINE taps in it.
So, other than a really good talk session afterwards, got nothing accomplished, and a few hundred in damages.

Any suggestions on making BBQ beef ribs? I usually apply Cookies or Baby Rays BBQ sauce and grill them and their good. Was thinking about marinating in BBQ sauce and/or slow cook in BBQ sauce in crock pot and then grilling them to brown them. Thought this may make them more tender and allow the BBQ flavor to get into the meat more.
PapaLew usually boils them for a while to soften them, then soaks them in bbq, then slow-grills them.
Need a new hard drive. Found one on amazon for $60. Really happy I didn't use my $25 gift card on something I didn't need
I have a love/hate relationship with open windows (which we've done for the last few days). I LURVE the fresh air, but my allergies HATE the fresh pollen (goldenrod right now, I think). So I compromise. I take more drugs.
Ended up sending the 2 oldest to Fan Fest by themselves. Dropped them off and told them to text us when they were done. They had lots of fun, they each got to do sports they liked and MacKenzie Big bee (volleyball) recognized them as volleyball helpers.

I used to have the most awful allergies when I was younger...cats & hay fever. Heaven help me if I visited my grandma or aunt when the corn was up. Now, I'll get the rare flare-up on a bad day. Still allergic to cats, but certain cats are worse than others.
Thanks - think I might try the crock pot with BBQ sauce and then grill method. Same goal as PapaLew but a little different way to get there.
All right, hitch on, lights wired. Tested them, worked first time. Unfortunately, buddy's 7ish month pregnant wife is feeling like crap.
