It certainly has, can't wait to be back home. How are the states looking? I've seen trump stir up some chaos over there ha

We have up to five miscellaneous candidates tromping around every week. Just wait till the state fair - you won't be able to move without tripping over one. 16 R, 4-5 D...most of 'em I-O-W-A. ;)

I know this may not help much, but when I quit drinking pop, I just stopped. It sucked for a couple weeks, but after awhile it didnt bother me. If anything, take all the pop out of your house, and when you go out, have water with you.

Keep it up though!

Water and ibuprofen. :spinny:

I used to drink soda pop whenever I would eat out or I'd drink about one per day. Within the last year or so I have transitioned to almost always ordering water or iced tea. I only drink that sugary beverage occasionally or with alcohol. When I don't drink it I feel healthier.

You can do it, the easiest way to not drink it is to not buy it.

Not having it at home is one thing but when you work in a restaurant kitchen and you have the soda machines tempting you is another. Going to try and make it through 1 week.

All this talk about giving up soda and I just found out Jolly Good Soda is back in production. Jolly Good is hands down the best soda ever. It is a Wisconsin staple and has been gone for about 10 years. Sorry, but I must go get some. But it's now only sold at one place, 100 miles away.

Great post BU!

I need to get back on the diet mobile...

We were sitting in church this morning and my son decided to poop very loudly in during a prayer. Everyone around us did their best to hold in their laughter. This was also his third time pooping since we left the house and we were out of diapers.

So Boxster pretty good game going for your boy's.

yeah used to always have it when eating out and then started hanging with some friends who always skipped it for the calorie/cost aspect. Started doing that and I can't tell you the last time I just ordered pop when going out. In a mixed drink? Sure, but otherwise it's just water. Saves money too. I'm like you, I pretty much use it as a mixer and once a week when we have pizza.

Unless you're from the south, in which case coke is the generic term for all carbonated beverages - kind of like asking for a "Kleenex" for any kind of "tissue".

Last I checked, Iowa is not in the south. Im assuming most on this board have spent a significant amount of time in Iowa, therefore they should call it pop.
