NFL: NFL Offseason Thread

I know he wasn't going to sign it... the point is when you have millions of dollars sitting on the table you would probably be wise to exercise some judgement on using explosives... Let alone an entire U-Haul truck full of them.

I can't argue with that.

I think all he's really guilty of is loving America too much.

RIP Kenny "The Snake" Stabler. Died from Cancer at age 69. Played hard on and off the field.

Chiefs signed Justin Houston!

6 year 101 million dollars making him the 2nd highest paid defensive player in the NFL.

52.5 mil guaranteed...although with NFL contracts the devil is in the details and we won't know for a while how much is partially guaranteed and/or fully guaranteed.

very similar deal to Dez. That doesn't do anything to alleviate the collusion accusations. I wonder how much of an effect the union's threat had?

I read yesterday on PFT or ESPN that if the players got their long term deals before the deadline today then the union would probably back off their threat to investigate collusion. I guess we'll see.

Especially for Ben Dogra. Stupid like a fox, that one.

that's right, because he didn't negotiate Peterson's previous contract, so he'd never had a chance to get his percentage of the big signing bonus.

But, it's not like he's in line for a huge payday. If there's no signing bonus, just guaranteed money, he'll still make exactly the same this year as he would have. And even less, provided Peterson plays out this contract, since the total value will be down.
