Omg do you go there??

And kind of 3rd base related story...we used to go there when we lived at the apartments at St. Andrews golf course in college, another guy and I were doing internships in CR. That was when it was Cedar Brewing. We were there quite a bit. But, the funner story is that one Sunday morning at my apartment, I looked out the window and noticed the beer cart chicks looked a little more *****-ish than normal, then later, saw one giving a lapdance to a guy on a cart...yeah, Dancer's Ranch had a golf outing, and the strippers were running the beer carts.

Naw, but used to...when you said house brew, it pretty much narrowed it down, and the location of Hiawatha kinda made it the most likely. Closest brewpub to us is in Solon, you should try it. A beer aficionado I work with compared their Pale Ale to Pseudo Sue from TG. I don't drink Pale Ales often enough to compare them, and I've not had PS, but want to.

Big Grove? Isn't the guy that started that responsible for another pub around the CR area?

IDK about CR...the family that used to own sluggers in Coralville opened Red's Ale house in NL after the flood rather than rebuild there. They are also behind Big Grove, although they're not listed on the website. The "managing partner" for Big Grove is Doug Goettsch, who also partnered with the same folks + Kaeding to open Pullman in Iowa City.

Yeah, heard that...in between the kiddos screaming and pounding on each other. Thanks, tho.

That's what I am here for.

If I forget to log on after I get done grilling consider yourself mobile reped for the dancers ranch story.

That name sounds really familiar...

That's it. You're right.

Golden Valley to Excelsior and back was 2 miles too far. Legs kinda hit the wall at mile 35. Also didn't know 20 miles of this was on gravel. Gravel biking is harder and slow and I am spoiled by the nice city paved pathways. Glad I didn't have beer(s) at Bayside Grille on the lake, ride back wouldn't have worked out well.

Another 10 miles out and I coulda had the dooshnugget brother-in-law give you a ride home. I mean, even I might choose 20 miles of riding bike on gravel than ride in a car with this special snowflake, but it would have been an option.

I might have almost bitten off a little more than this old man can chew today. Only had a bowl of cereal to eat and after drinking last night was probably a little on the dehydrated side which I enhanced with a pot of coffee. Need to think about my fuel before I go for rides more than 20 miles.
