Dropped off my car at a repair place in Quasqueton to get the exhaust worked on. It may be a 30 minute drive but I am saving $70 taking it there. This has to be the first time Quasky has been mentioned on CF.

I am willing to bet not many other people are watching this hockey game snacking on pita chips and hummus.

Nosir...no it's not...

Q-town used to be on my route from Manchester to Ames. We used to have a contest on who could drive it the fastest. Buddy Mark probably had the record with his dad's hemi-Charger. In HS his family car was a hemi-Fury. His dad was into muscle.

Slowest drive for me, Manchester to Ames, was probably driving buddies old 1939 Chevy four door (suicide doors and all). Having a 35-year old daily driver was a little weird even for the '70s.

Welp - another omygodihavetoheadstraighttophoenix crisis averted with 2.5 hours of telephone calls & texts. But I think I'm going to take my long weekend over the fourth, add a day, and head down there just to check in with him. And probably say my goodbyes to his wife. Word is she is losing the battle.

Naw, man, I'm helpin you out here...you take that Iowa job, that "oh, but he's in Hawaii" excuse goes bye-bye.

I think the confused Minnesotan thinks she's going to get that job. Although she's already contacted me three times today because she "doesn't know a thing about Iowa".

I was like, "woman, it's not that much different than Minnesota. You're not comparing New York to Alabama here."

I ******* love hummus. With anything. Pita, pretzels, bread, dipping my finger in it; it doesn't matter.

Did you happen to catch John Oliver's show last night? Apparently US interrogators have an interesting way of feeding the prisoners hummus.

Just tell her that she calls it hotdish one time, she's ****ing dead. And mention something about barbecue just to be safe.

Thoughts, prayers, and peace to all.
