Sigh...I feel like I'm feeding the troll a bit here, but one would think that someone with such an obsession for Gregg Marshall, which you seem to have, would know by now that he's making over $3 million a year now with Wichita State. Any coach that makes over $3 million/year isn't coming to Iowa State. Just stop already.

Then offer him $3.1 mil for all I care. I think this is the biggest hire in program history. We can win our first national championship in program history. Last thing I want JP to do is look back and think to himself he could have done more.

If they hire Dana Altman, I'll lose every bit of respect I have had for Pollard. This guys team are always SAWFT! I'll puke if they hire him.

TJ is real interesting. He has ties with current players and just might be the best guy for the 2015-2016 team, but a lot of question marks with him. At this point I guess I have to ride with Pollard and think he's going to be a good coach, but I know a ton of criticism is coming if he falls down. I'm a little iffy about him.

Tim Floyd- cheater and still doesn't win post ISU?..... No thanks. Move on.

Nick Nurse- I have NO idea. Was great for Energy, but different league.

Archie Miller- Why?...

Hornacek- a lot like Fred. I think he can be a good coach, but not a great coach.

The candidates I have heard about I haven't been overly impressed. We need to get on the line with Larry Brown, Jim Calhoun, and Greg Marshall and ask them if they are interested in a National Championship. Brown and Calhoun have their share of championships, this would just add to the collection. But telling Greg Marshall about this start studded team would get him real excited. Problem is he seems loyal to the Shockers. It is definitely worth the phone call! We can't screw this up. 5 years from now I don't want to be looking back at this and saying we could have done more. Jamie, I'm counting on you, don't let me down. Make every effort possible!

Separate from the rest of your post, but you lose all credibility when you ask why on Archie Miller.

Just want to take a really short minute to give huge props to CW and the work he and his crew have been doing to make sure this place was in tip-top-shape for such a huge couple weeks. The site is running smoothly despite the heavy traffic, the mods are doing great work keeping things organized and clean, CW is providing accurate and timely information while also juggling (hopefully just figuratively) a baby and a great radio show. Great work!

Come on. He had a good run to the Elite 8 a few years back, but what has he done besides that. He is living off his brother's name. He had a home court game in a play in game, and basically had home court the 1st 2 rounds of the tourney!!! Really? Seemed sort of fishy. It's the Atlantic 10, not impressed. If he has one more good year, ok you can make the case. But seems a little too premature.

Thanks much for these recaps, Chris & Jeremy. Very helpful. Keeps me from going insane trying to wade through all the hyperbole in between your updates. Keep it up!

You gonna pony that $100,000, Bode?

I could if I wanted to, but I've donated a very good amount to the school too. I'm looking to get a Mercedes Benz or a Grandfather's Clock for my next purchase.

The point is we may even have to go above and beyond even to what we payed Fred. If they're not interested that's one thing, but if they're willing to listen, show them the green.

I stopped reading when you said 'why' on Archie Miller. Seriously?

The NBA network possibilities seem to be important to recruits. Players make great coaches...

This X 1,000. This site has been on one hell of rollercoaster for the past month. I would put the site moderation here at CF up against any other message board. Really appreciate the input you have provided Jeremy.

The Leath/Pollard thing bothers me. Depending on how this shakes out, it could have long term administrative effects.

Another GTO poll, he's slacking:

Leath forces Pollard to hire from outside and it succeeds
Leath forces Pollard to hire from outside and it fails
Pollard hires TJ and it succeeds
Pollard hires TJ and it fails.
