People got their visit. And as predicted, kept asking when I would be back. Since DH backed out of helping our pregnant friend move to entertain, I stayed for about 8 hours helping pack, clean, and move. No, I'm not coming back just because you are up here. You were told we were busy. You were told that I was still going to be helping. Harrumph.

also, spreadsheet/organizational CG is allowed to come out in full force for the move. I want us to have the junk thrown out, stuff out of cupboards/closets into labeled boxes, and said cupboards/closets cleaned out before the "main" moving day.

Dude isn't careful he's going to start an awfully bad dry spell.

oh yeah, DH said we have a resident in our garage. A mama robin. They just got the garage doors up but now the trim guy says he's keeping the one open so she can get in and out. I'm fine with that since it's empty, but how long do robins take to have babies in leave? I'm assuming longer than the month til we move in. Probably have to leave a window open for her, but what about the babies learning to fly? I don't want to back over babies. That'd be sad.

If there are no eggs yet (nest looks complete), how bad would it be to tear it apart? I don't want to make her homeless but it's not a great spot to be.

Sounds like 'too big a p***y to stand up to his mom' DH will be sleeping onna couch again this weekend.

no, this was our compromise to our compromise. It was fine, I told him to go ahead and do it today but not to expect me back in time. He knew that and was just kind of laughingly filling me in.

Robins don't take too long to get out of the nest, I think it'd be less than a month...just get it cleaned up after they move out, or starlings may take up residence after the robins, if our front porch in previous years is any indication.

oh yeah, I'd tear it out right away. I just don't want to mush them when they're learning how to fly. Gosh, now I wonder how that will work?

I'm not typically a fan of covers, but there are few out there than can do an acoustic cover better than Boyce Avenue. And they cover EVERYTHING. I just listened to an acoustic cover of Am I Wrong by Nico and Vinz and even that was made enjoyable. Dudes have talent.
