I'm going to try not to have another heart attack running tonight so I don't wake up again having been thrown to the curb like a cheap plastic grocery bag with the handle tore off.

Quadruple post, but some kid just puked all over one of the treadmills.

Dude is kind of weird. I've been watching him for about a week. He'll sprint for like, 20-30 seconds then just stand on the sides for a couple of minutes, then sprint again. But he does this weird little skip or jump thing. Makes a **** ton of noise and sounds like it's gonna bust the treadmill. I'm not really a runner so I thought maybe it helps with explosiveness or something, but the trainer I talk to said all it does it's more damage to your knees.

Anyway, he started limping to a jog then just ralphed everywhere. They had to shut the whole area down because the treadmill was still going and shooting puke onto the elipticals behind. I swear to god it was like watching a comedy out of the 80s or something.

I can just picture that right now. Not pleasant.

Gross on the treadmill puke. Sounds like he was doing HIIT (high intensity interval training). When I do it I stay on the treadmill, although my fast time is not all that fast.

Prepare for lots o randomness. We went to bed before 10am because 5:15 is early for me. Gotta love the things we do for our kids. Up at 5:15, packed food for hubby and oldest, sent them off at 6:15 to be in WDSM by 7:15 for 8am game, first of 4 today.

We never went and visited any grav sites or anything for Memorial Day. My only deceased relative that served was my uncle who was at Pearl Harbor. He is buried in Oklahoma or California. I have other family who served in the military, but all are still living. I had a friend post on FB, "Don't thank me for my service, take time to remember the fallen" Of course that was after I thanked him for his service.

I am not shy if I know people; don't necessarily like meeting new people. My kids know there is a good chance mom will stop and talk to people when we are out and about.

I like David Alexander and Alexander Joseph. We had Alexander John on the short list of boy names that we never needed. We would've done AJ as a knickname.

I've thought about getting a pair of Sperrys but I won't get into my feet issues. They may not work. I tend not to spend a lot on one pair of shoes (Sperrys aren't crazy expensive) but when you have to buy shoes for 6 people, you tend to not go crazy. My 12yr old actually has bigger feet than me.

Burke is still around, but I want to say it was sold to someone else not too long ago. Vikes, do you have all your upper level management in place? Hubby looked into that plant a while ago but they wanted the supervisor to train in NC. He may be looking for something later.

Having friends over for lunch today. We met them in college and they have lived in WI since after school. Now they are moving to Ames and are checking out the house next door (owners built a new one and will be selling). Would be nice to hand - pick my neighbors. There is another house for sale just down the block if any of you want to move too.

Got a birdie on hole number one, looked down at my ball and noticed this. Thanks cowgirl!

I'm pretty sure all of our upper management positions are filled but I guess they could always add something as we move along.

I should probably get a house sooner rather than later so I don't keep throwing money away by renting.

Side note: I have a pair of Sperrys but I hardly ever wear them. Like I've worn them a handful of times in over two years.

Got these the other day. They're replacing my current pair of adidas shoes which are white with black stripes. I love the classic adidas kicks.20150523_095828.jpg

I enjoyed this way too much. Kind of like the puke story in Stand By Me.

Yup. Was sitting with the Illini player parents. Still couldn't escape the Hoiberg talk. I pulled on an ISU jacket later and it turns out one of the moms was a veterinarian who went to school at ISU. So Hoiberg talk.
One of the guys at work originally from Chi-town and a Bulls fan apologized to me for stealing our coach. I told him it wasn't over yet.

I was in the office at Target Center the other day and an older couple all decked out in Hawkeye gear came in and asked where they could find a restroom in the skyway. They directed them to Hubert's. I took them out in the skyway and gave them better directions to Hubert's and wished them a great day. I couldn't resist a final "Go, Cyclones!" As they walked away. They ignored me.

hey, renting isn't throwing money away....most of the time. You're paying for them to do the maintenance, freedom to move again easily, no yard/snow work. With a house you have interest, maintenance, possibly PMI, property taxes, and it's harder to relocate. I say this as we are moving to a house obviously, but I don't consider our rent money a waste. Maybe if we had moved to the place that's $300 more for rent and they have a community breakfast place. That may have been excessive.

Biking update. Did a pretty hard ride yesterday with fitness in mind and trying to bike faster. No Pants-like heart issues.

Achievement Levels:

Boxster Sexagenarian Level: Most Excellent

Younger Man Level: Decent and better than better than Foghat level

Go, Cyclones Count: One given, one received. It's the "likes" of a ride here if wearing ISU gear.
