00, you beat me to it in the fave poster thread.
Follow up, I believe it to specifically be an MGB, late 60's?

Fun fact: This was my dad's first car he bought himself.

This is just a google image. I THINK it was the same color.
I'm not even a "car person", and I wish he had kept this.
I have a 12yr old daughter. She doesn't have a phone/I pod or an Instagram account but 99% of her friends do. So I follow all of them and keep up with what is going on. I post occasionally.Haven't gotten into instagram.
Do you pretend to be your daughter in some sort of weird Freaky Friday way? That would be funny.I have a 12yr old daughter. She doesn't have a phone/I pod or an Instagram account but 99% of her friends do. So I follow all of them and keep up with what is going on. I post occasionally.

Sorry, it was on my Instagram feed. Had to share.

Little like the young guys jockeying for position when a new gal shows up in RT.
I would imagine it's much more difficult being a parent with all the social media now. There are no mini 55s, but if there were I'm not sure I'd want her on instagram that young.
Thankfully ours is pretty levelheaded and doesn't get into the "omg, you are such a hottie". This is how girls talk to each other--then it goes on for 30 comments "no you're a hottie" "call the fire department, you are too hot". She just rolls her eyes and is like "give me a break".
Our first one is making it not so bad on us. We're not as hopeful for the second one.Whew...I so would not be good with daughters.

So the 6th graders had one of "those" talks yesterday. Not only did they talk about body changes for their own gender (they separate for these talks), they also learned about puberty for the opposite gender. She was very disgusted by boy parts. Hopefully it will stay that way for a loooong time. We can talk fairly openly and candidly with her, and she is very mature about things. She also has a great sense of humor. We had been talking about some of the yucky boy stuff before bed and I teased her, "Sweet dreams!" She said, "Hopefully they are dry!"

One of the special "joys" of boys is the first time your young (5,6, 7 or so) son comes out of his room in the morning, half asleep, with a major woody going on. "Mommy, what's this?" "Nothing, honey...go pee". That works for a little while...![]()
