Dashboard ID test for 00. It's an old one.

Although, admittedly, that was more about my google prowess rather than first hand knowledge.

Starting with it being 'old' and a 4 cylinder, as noted on the tach, I knew it had to be something small, but I didn't recognize anything, other than I knew that steering wheel with the metal rods connecting the center hub to the rim was unique, and vaguely familiar. First shot was a VW of some sort, but the temp gauge made me rule that out. A google of Smith's instruments gauges led me to the oil pressure gauge of a Mini cooper, but the mounting of the instruments in front of the steering wheel ruled that out because Mini's have them centrally mounted. Another search of Smith's instruments tachometer 4 cylinder led me to an ebay listing for an MG tach.

Although, now putting 2 and 2 together, perhaps her previous interrogations were to ascertain if any interlopers were actually interested in joining us, or whether they might be people after her over that mp3 download and 'borrowing' a friends' login to a pay site...with you, she already knows you're the law, so you'll just get those nervous sideways glances from here on out.)
