Officer got shot and died in Omaha today. Knew who she was. Looks like I've got a funeral to go to in the next couple of days. Also had a Nebraska assistant soccer coach die on the interstate a couple miles away from me. Been a very weird/somber week around here.

I'm 38 and the only one I should have gone to, but was unable to, was my grandfather's. That man was like my father when I was young. Sad now.

So for S's and G's I pulled a CG and recorded myself singing and playing the guitar last night. Listened to it today. Apparently there's a valid reason why I was kicked out of choir my junior year.
I was once really high at the one in Ames and it was 5 minutes to close and they gave me the whole tray of cookies to take home. By take home I mean eat as I walked home. Only time I was glad.

Just read that the Omaha officer had a baby (assuming a preemie) that had been in the hospital since Feb 17 and was set to finally go home tomorrow.Prayers to her family and to those who knew her.
The same day my son was born. I can't imagine what that would be like.
