Come on CG! You're FB friends with me, you should know how equal rights I actually am, and how much I love women! I mean, I was raised my whole life by a single woman, I know how to appreciate them!

I'm beginning to think stormchaser's vocabulary needs his own Rosetta Stone. Although all it would translate is, "I'm right and you're wrong". I get that there are multiple regional names for the same thing. Growing up we didn't call them Sloppy Joe's or Maid Rites. We sure as heck never, ever called them barbeques. We called them beefburgers. But I'm cool with people calling them whatever. When I make barbeque sandwiches it is pulled meat with bbq sauce mixed in. So I will either make a barbeque chicken sandwich or barbeue pork or barbeque beef (I haven't made the equivilent of a Saucy Southerner, mixing meats together). But what do I know, keping my dry good in canisters and eating beefburgers.

Poop. Once I give up on the bar and go home to sleep I am going to wake up around 1 a.m. when the power comes on and every little ******* device in the house chirps and beeps to let me know it is "on" again.

Ah, the curse of the many tree'd neighborhood.

Moar time to kill, maybe I'll order dessert. Pie!

Aren't most burgers beef?

If you are eating the real thing, yes. :) I think it is a very (small) regional thing. At the county fair the church food stand sells them and calls them beefburgers. But I don't think anyone outside of our town calls them that. They don't have any barbeque sauce in them, just tomato based--tomato sauce/once in awhile tomato soup, ketchup (another redundancy), a little bit of yellow mustard, and minced/dried onions. My husband thinks it is weird that we call them beefburgers, and he doesn't really care for them. I grew up eating them quite a bit. It was always a quick, easy meal since there was alwas ground beef in the freezer on a beef cattle farm.
