it appears the visit has been begrudgingly postponed to after the move on a weekend that works for us and something can be planned that will make it more enjoyable. Ha, and now I'm wondering if it would just be better to get it over with now.

Yeah Texas has been getting some heavy ****. And your forecast looks like **** this week too
Yep. Rain every day again all the way to next Tuesday. Feel bad for my son, as he has been cooked up in the house all weekend. Have to come up with somewhere for him to go next weekend, since outdoor activities are out of the question..

So I'm perusing Pinterest this morning, and see that my cousin by marriage is pinning decoration ideas for her 7-8 yr old son's bedroom. Everything is sports related...baseball, basketball...

And then, I stop...

She's pinned a Schmuckeye bedroom set.

She's the daughter of two ISU graduates, married to an ISU graduate, and is an ISU fan. (Central College grad)
I'm not sure what happened. I wonder if her brother (Iowa grad) has something to do with it. Hmm....

Get on her *** about that. Her husband should nut up and lay the law down about that ****.

Will it be the same weekend as the RT housewarming party?:jimlad:

and I have to say, if we tell you that no, weekends aren't great for the next while, let's not have you come up and make us entertain you and then you ignore the hint and push, prod, and bully your way into visiting anyway......it does not endear you to me.

And the fact that this was posted on Sunday night leads me to believe that it was a maneuver that was specifically pulled on mother's day because that makes it that much harder to say no...<doe eyes...blink, blink, blink> but...you can't say no to mom on Mother's day.

My mom used to pull that **** too, then realized that I could go months without talking to her, and have zero regret.

been heavily hinted (and heavily hinted back that no, these next few weeks are not good) for a couple weeks but yes, final push was yesterday

Just tell her she is more than welcome to come to Madison any weekend she wants, and if you're busy, she can just bring your sister...I mean, they've had no problem doing that in the past...

(look, now I'm making up my own jimlads)

Just thinking, this is actually a pretty busy week (I mean, not birdy 4 kids busy, but busy for us)

Today I got the Wxman thing
Tomorrow is youngest's first T-ball practice, which is all Mrs. 00clone since I'm working
Wednesday I have a pretty important customer tour (I'm the unofficially official 2nd shift tour guide, and these folks wanted to come in at 5 PM)
Saturday we are going to Ames for the movie night and staying over
Sunday is an open house at work, and I think the oldest will be geeked out to see where I work.

And I think I'm finally teaching Mrs. 00clone...the boys know about neither Ames or the open house, lest it be nonstop questions from now until then. She used to love telling them the instant we decided something, so when we went to Arizona, it was more than a month of 'when are we going to Arizona?" every 3 hours. They'd ask me and I'd say...go ask your mom.

Yesh, I won't bore you with the details but this week is going to require some CG-type lists/spreadsheets to get everything done in a timely manner. My "to-do" olans have already changed for today thanks to crappy weather and a kid home sick. Which was not part of the original plans.
