I grew up dirt poor. Single mother working three jobs and a non-existent dad that didn't pay support. So when I say poor, I don't mean "couldn't get the newest Jordan's" poor. I mean, butter sandwiches for dinner poor.

Now I make good money. And while I don't typically blow money and usually am really good at saving, for some reason in a bar setting when I've had a few, that Poor Pantsy wants to come out and let everyone know how well he's doing by paying for drinks. It doesn't break my bank account, but it's something I shouldn't really do.
Butter sandwiches? Must have been nice.

I hear you, though. Without going into too much detail, we must come from similar situations. My childhood sucked until I was about 15 years old. I wouldn't trade it for anything, though. Those are the kind of things that mold you as a person. Just like you, I make good money now, but I never forget about those hard times.

It's a hard knock life for us, GTO.

So showing completely clearly what era I grew up in...while I'm doing plug and chug work at my desk, I'll put '80's music on my pandora, honestly to get a laugh out of hearing some of those old songs, but for some reason, it plays the **** out of Queen's "under pressure", and without fail, the first few seconds I'm thinking "Why is Vanilla Ice on my '80's station?"

If that is your reaction you don't deserve any Queen!

Didn't Vanilla Ice lose a lawsuit over that too?

You can have my Queen....I actually just thumbs downed it.

A couple of weeks ago my 10 year old was disappointed in her friends because she told them that Bohemian Rhapsody was her favorite song and they made fun of her. I can only imagine how they will look back in embarrassment at some of the songs they picked.

Well, that's probably a little harsh, I've never been a big fan of Under Pressure, mainly because the VI thing annoys me because I can't stop thinking it. I actually got pretty into Queen in HS, I dang near wore out a cassette tape of "The Game" album, but unfortunately it was right before Wayne's World came out, and it bugged the **** out of me that there were suddenly all these HUGE Queen fans that couldn't name a single song besides Bohemian Rhapsody, and maybe We Will Rock You (truth be told, most knew that song, but few knew it was Queen). It just hit at a time where I ended up saying eff it, they're not around anymore anyway...

I could see how if your stream is overplaying Under Pressure you would say enough is enough even if you do like Queen in general.

I started playing some of Flash Gordon for my 7 year old several months ago and he was mesmerized. I had forgotten just how campy that was.

I stand by what I said.
