As for me, I'm such a lightweight: one drink slow, I'm relaxed; one drink, fast, I'm a little tipsy; two drinks, I'm asleep.

I'm something of a control freak when it comes to my behavior, so I intensely dislike being "out of control". If I start on the tipsy slide, I switch to water. It doesn't help much that my alcoholic beverage of choice is a Black Russian, low ice, long pour on the Kahlua. Pretty much pure alcohol...hence the need to drink it slow.

Reminds me of an old joke I heard a female comic once tell about cocktail parties...One martini is enough, my dear...2 at the very most...3 you're under the table, 4 you're under the host.
 
I should add - in my youth my tolerance level was a little higher, but my rule of not going past tipsy started at a very young age. I couldn't depend on my ex to limit intake even if he was going to be the designated driver.

I honestly don't think I've ever been an angry or maudlin drunk. Just happy & flirty.

I don't have GTO as my username!

I debated it, but knowing that there are a fair number of Fanatics combating alcoholism, plus a fair number that don't drink, I decided to stick to RT. And I can't remember who it is, but every time there is an alcohol-related thread, some guy comes in and gets all soap-boxy.

Saturday night after my bachelor party I slept on the bathroom floor, accidentally pulled the shower curtain down on top of me. Woke up at 4:30 am and emptied my stomach then slept much better in my bed.

Sam took good care of me.

She get frisky after a few drinks but heads to pukey and weepy if it goes too much farther. We went to a wedding last summer and she had about 8 glasses of wine without sufficient food in her stomach. That night did not end well for her, but I was there to take care of her.

ha, yeah I've gone the Sam route only once or twice. 'Twas not fun.

And yes, the window between frisky and sleepy must be timed correctly.
 
Thanks, ISU for making me feel old and letting me know that I graduated five years ago today. And nice try and trying to use it to make me give you money. You gotta wait longer.
 
interest rates just hit 4.022 today. I am so, so, so, so, so glad I got DH to lock two weeks ago at 3.625. Even if they now drop back below where we locked, the mental stress these last two weeks would have been as I watched it go up and up would have been bad.
 
Am I the only Cards fan here? Only a fan by marriage, but hubby and the girls are big fans. The other night the girls were watching the Cubs/Cards game downstairs. The next morning the 4 yr old says, "The Cubs are bad, just like the Hawkeyes". I have a feeling the 12yr old had a bit to do with that. ;)

My work has wifi, and every once in a while I watch youtube videos on my phone.

Apparently the server for our wifi goes through India, because every one of the youtube ads is for Pepsi India or something similar. So odd and random.
