Random thoughts III

My BIL sends food back about every time we eat at a restaurant. Drives me insane. I can understand if something isn't done or has a hair or something, but he'll constantly do it because he just didn't like it. Then he'll try to justify a smaller tip because of how they handled the situation.

I'm pretty impressed I haven't lost my **** on him.
Same exact situation with my brother in law as well. He'll have some ridiculous demands and the most asinine substitutions. Makes the server jump through hoops and then tries to ***** about some minor thing to leave a smaller tip.

Drives me about as crazy as the people at work who do not acknowledge the security guard, janitorial staff, facilities personnel, etc. Not even a "hello", "how's your day", nothing. This world is full of self-centered *** holes.

shoot, our facilities people are like the MVPs. They know everything going on.

And random, kind of...random for today, but back to an earlier discussion. I missed a 'Senior' in my boss's job title, so it's a bit of a larger raise than I originally thought. Gonna have lunch with him tomorrow and talk a bit, see who else is interested, etc. I know of one, and if he doesn't get it, he'll be pizzed...but I hope he doesn't.

um, well let's see. I'm evilbetty, the original guy. Pants is the flaky girl. Birdy is the new guy (but not a bro-code breaking version). So no. You are not in this.
How can we change this story so that a different combination of these characters ends up making out?

RT crew is the best crew inna land. My BIL is allergic to yellow cheese but not white cheese and has to make a big deal about it, and I always say hi to the janitorial folks...of course, they do most of the work on 2nd when there's less people, so they're always around. Several (high turnover) are super demure, apologizing if you walk thru while they're vacuuming or something, and my response is always "no need to apologize, you're doing your work, I'm doing mine".

My daughter was doing some gymnastics before bed and kneed herself hard in the nose. I had that dad moment where I had to force myself to console her instead of laughing.

I think she'll end up with a black eye. I did make her laugh between the tears though. My consoling differs greatly from my wife's.

I'm okay with the hug and sympathy, but I think I am better with the have a little sympathy but get them laughing about it thing. Definitely a Dad thing. It is even better if I can get them so "mad" at me that they pretty much forget their pain. That "mad" usually ends up in them smacking me and laughing. Yes it is a violent household.

Bob Uecker stuck in the radio booth at Miller Park. Lock on the door is broken. Currently have a ladder reaching up to the booth.

It must be a brother-in-law thing to be an arse to the wait staff. We live in a small town and it is just embarrassing. Last time he sent four shakers of parmesan cheese back because they were not clean enough for him. I apologized to the waitress next time we were there and she said, "The crazy cheese guy? It's ok sweetie." A lot of times he will make fun of them to their faces and he thinks he is too clever and they are too stupid to know what he is doing, but they do.

I made cinnamon rolls for my son to take to his presentation tomorrow at school but I am not in the running for Pantsy's heart. Old enough to be his mom no doubt.

It has been far too long since I've had homemade (there is no other kind) cinnamon rolls.

She gets mad because I told her after her birthday in a few weeks that she can get the 55+ menu at Perkins.

WTH, Carvers? I thought we were exclusive? Whatever happened to short, dark, and fat-some?

I would suggest you just say to him to please not do that while you are eating with him because you don't want spit and other bad stuff in your food. Maybe he will start to get a clue. If not, start saying it to him in front of the wait staff.

Hmmm. Somehow we all get to make out with the baked goods that Birdy and/or CG made?

[Insert earlier Boxster post with frozen pie mistype]

Edit: And carvers' cinnamon rolls

BTW, speaking of cinnamon rolls...

Found out last weekend that there's a Cinnabon in the Pilot Truck Stop in Mt Pleasant.

The last two Cubs games I have tuned into the Cubs have lost their lead in their opponents next half inning. Last night it was losing a 3 run lead on the next pitch. I'm starting to feel like:
